Reality check

Really shocking to see Illinois down 47-27 at the half against Clemson! I'm not sure if Illinois would (or still will) win this game, but I expected them to conduct themselves better than this!

My point is that maybe Illinois is just not that great of a team. Don't get me wrong. This was still a great win for us, but maybe not as much of an impact win as we would have liked. Hopefully I'm wrong and Illinois gets its act together before too long.

I'm not sure of the halftime totals but Illinois had 10 turnovers with about 5 minutes left in the 1st half. Seems like they were scoring pretty decent but them turnovers slaughtered them.

While Illinois may not be who we thought they were...

Clemson is better than everyone thought. They will be TOUGH all year if they keep it up.

Yeah, and considering Illinois was ranked at #20 with Clemson at #19.....yeesh.

I've seen several Clemson games. They're the real deal, probably under rated right now. I think they could be a top 10 team by year end.

Illini probably a little over rated right now with all of the youngsters but should be top 20 by year end.

Correction, no 1 and 1. Illinois committed another moving screen and then CLemson knocked down a 3. Illinois down by 2 with 1:30 left.

Illinois makes a layup to go up by a point. Tisdale then gets a block, now Illinois goin to FT line with 10 seconds left. They might just pull this one out. Amazing come back.

WOWWWWWW, Illinois missed on 2nd FT, then Clemson misses a near point blank layup. ILLINOIS WINS BY 2 after being down by 22 at halftime.

Well everyone, forget that I started this thread to begin with! :D

Great comeback by the Illini. Reminiscent of their comeback against Arizona in the NCAA Tournament a few years back, but with a lot more time. This definitely validates our win against them the other night.

Now we need to finish up NIU, but they keep hanging in there. Go Braves!

Obviously they saw first hand what can be done in a half when they lost to Utah in Vegas. Still can't believe what I saw watching that game (Tivo is great where I can flip back and forth and catch up during timeouts). Clemson when 6 minutes without scoring, and Illinois was hitting everything. Great RPI boost for us for sure.
