Recruiting

Here is one more article from IllinoisPrepBullseye--
http://ilprepbullseye.com/page39.html

Note the part at the bottom- Mickey Perry, a 6'2" shooting guard who just left Wisconsin, is being courted by Illinois State.

Transfer U. (ISU) continues to go after every available shooting guard after they already got a committment from Sead Odzic.

Phillip "Mickey" Perry has decided to enroll at Dayton, over interest from Illinois State. He spent the last 1 1/2 years at Wisconsin.

And in another recruiting note,
Tony Wysinger at ICC won a big recruiting battle against Bob Knight ( )
and has received a verbal committment from Manual's Breland McKnight to attend ICC next season. Manual is 2-10 this season.

The story says that John Sargent is averaging 11.5 ppg.

But Sargent's name hasn't appeared at all in the box scores of Manual's games.
Here's one example, although it is hard to find the box scores anywhere that can be linked.

Also-- another confusing thing is that many times his name is spelled "John Sargant"

Even the PJ Star spells his name "Sargant" about half the time:

http://64.233.167.104/custom?q=cach...B8.077.shtml+sargant&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=1

But here is another blurb about Tony Wysinger in the Galesburg Register Mail telling who he's trying to recruit, and he lists McKnight and Sargent, and also Bloomington's Justin Bocot & Lonnie Lawrence.

"llinois Central College coach Tony Wysinger was in the stands at Pontiac, scouting four players he hopes to sign for next season.

???‚¬?“I wanted to watch two guys from Bloomington???‚¬???Justin Bocot and Lonnie Lawrence -- and two from Manual???‚¬???Breland McKnight and John Sargant,???‚¬?? Wysinger said. ???‚¬?“We???‚¬?„?ve already got one signed from Limestone already committed, their center, so we need four more solids.

???‚¬?“We know the ones we???‚¬?„?ve got to get.???‚¬??

Good to see Tony out recruiting some of the best area talent.
Now that he has a top ranked program, he needs to keep recruiting at a higher level to stay there.

Do we have to worry about him landing Matt Roth?
