Red-White Scrimmage

I have long said the best deal for the fans would be having the men's event as a stand alone event the way it always was for decades until recently...
but if the men are going to have their Red-White the same night as the women - how about these options...

#1 - start way earlier - maybe 5:30 or 6pm, have dollar hot dogs or pizza..get the crowd there early so the men's Red-White can tip off by 7am.

#2 - maybe switch it up every other year and have the men go first and the women go after the men - isn't that fair??
I know 90% of the crowd will get up and leave well before the event is over so that's why they always do the women first - but then the empty stands by the end of the men's game at 10:30PM is saying the same thing.

I collect the BU pocket schedules and have almost every one I am aware exists going back to the 1960's...most have players pictured..
but I also tuck one in my wallet, have one in the car and give one to my secretary so she knows not to put anything on if there's a game!!!
So I rely a ton on those little pocket schedules so I always know every game's time & date
(remember when the pocket schedule ONLY listed the home games (LINK and LINK) and made no mention at all of the road games?
That was weird - don't they expect the fans to want to know when we play a game on the road??)

...so I also asked Friday night about the pocket schedules and got a bunch of deer-in-the-headlight stares as if they didn't have a clue what a pocket schedule even was...there has never been a season in my memory where the pocket schedules nor the tickets were unavailable to the big group of BU-basketball-hungry fans attending the Red-White

lefty - you got any idea - are you connected up there??

I doubt Nelligan's would have anything to do with the poster/pocket schedules, tickets, etc...so I'm sure that is left up to BU....
The Nelligan transition hasn't been real smooth for the advertising and marketing this year but I'm sure it will going forward though. Because of that the TV/radio info is behind schedule.

lefty - at the risk of steering this discussion towards the absurd...

is what you're saying that the guys we hired back in June still haven't shown up on the job?

Other Valley schools have long since promoted their games & schedules, and have been putting out releases on their TV schedules, weekly coach's programs, and other promotion...

who or what is the reason the season tickets themselves are apparently not back from the printer?

Ah, the good ole days. The ITOO hall with the chicken and spagetthi and beer along with meeting the players and hearing stories about each one. The Red-White scrimmage with 5000 fans. Just the little things that kept the fan interest alive. To quote from one of my all time favorite movies, "what we have here is a failure to communicate."

They have shown up...just a few hiccups along the way...

TV and radio are getting worked out

Don't know anything about the ticket situation
