Remy Abell Update

short term v long term

Why would firing Jim Les not be in Bradley's best interest? I think Les has improved, but I don't think he is a good coach. He has been given plenty of time. What am I missing?

For one thing, you are missing one major reason he gets criticized for not being a good coach-- injuries. There have been serious, sometimes season-long injuries to key players every year since the 2006 Sweet 16 season. People are free to assess his coaching, but lets not ignore the significant impact the injuries have had.

I completely understand that the injuries had an impact. However, I don't think they overshadow his actual coaching deficiencies.

I fully understand that opinion. I can't see why some anti-JL folks seem unable or unwilling to see the opposite opinion.

Honestly, I think some just wanted a change so much they were willing to overlook certain things or even exaggerate their view. Which is certainly not fair.

Wish Remy would at least wait to meet with the new coach before making his decision as he liked it here to begin with so at least give us a chance before making your decision as this is a great place to play.

I dont understand how a player can play 3 years of HS basketball and 3 years of AAU and not get any high-major interest and then all of the sudden his senior year he is greatest thing since sliced bread. Why were there no offers from Louisville, Kentucky or Indiana originally? Granted he had a good senior year but all of the big boys had their chances and passed on him. I just think he is a mid-major talent and now he will go to a big school and sit. Just my opinion.

What is going on at Kentucky that they are after Remy Abell and Stan Simpson? It just doesn't seem like the usual Mcdonald's All-American players they go after. i'd be carefull if I was them. See Matt Roth.

I don't know about what some others have said as I've stopped posting for the most part based on not getting anywhere with my posts...

It seems this board has turned into a major p*ss*ng contest between certain posters...

That said, it seems awfully familiar or Danny Granger of Abell to say what he said about going to Bradley to begin with and what has now transpired...

The only thing he is missing is saying he wants to stay closer to home and then going to play out on the West Coast!!

I just wish these kids would stop acting like they're trying to pull the wool over someones eyes and just say they took their best offer.
