Wait, aren't you one who scoffs at the suggestion that recruits read message boards? :)

As long as their are fallout denyers, there will be fallout believers. We did not need to become this bad. As I have said many times, other schools rebuild without setting all-time school records for most losses (25), fewest MVC wins (2) and lowest finishes (10th place). And for your sake, AZ, I won't even get into largest blowout margins. :)

My point is WHO CARES.... What was done was done. MOVE ON.... Crying over lost coaches will not do one thing to help the current/future program.

I am still struggling to understand the purpose of posters on this site wanting to continuously second guess the past JL, SM, CH, RA, UCD, etc etc

Is this doing BU any good right now or down the road?

Isn't there enough positive in the program in year 2 to focus on?

Are some people's egos so big that they want to 'hang their hats' on their JL support and their 'I told you so' till the end of time?

Or is there some hidden agenda to p*** off the current players and coaches with the constant:

"We coulda had class, we coulda been a contender, we coulda been somebody, instead of bums, which is what we are, let's face it, it was all about firing Les" ;);)

th

Is this supposed to make the current players play harder, smarter, better:doubt:

This has nothing to do with JL. So again it is brought up, not by me, but by others who wanted him gone. This is about Bradley, and I am a positive person. I "hang my hat" on Bradley winning, so it hurts to see us at the bottom of the league.

I just cannot even begin to tell you how much I agree with your every word AZ BU Fan!!!!!!! :!: :!: :!: :!:

Kudos to you for having the guts to say what the other 98% are thinking!!! :D

LOL

You know I say that with all due respect Da Coach. But, IMO, this dwelling on the past (which is just that... the past) detracts from the valuable information and exchange of ideas that your board provides to Bradley fans across the country. We love our Bradley Braves and appreciate what this forum brings to the table. I think I speak for many on here that we want to focus on what we now have and NOT what might have been... Que sera, sera... as they say.

It is what it is. Facts do not go away. Many people see both sides, and the majority that I hear from agree with me. It has really hurt the attendance and support that was always a given here at my alma mater. I will be more than happy when we can all just focus on winning again.

PS- that graphic was meant to portray the denyers who don't want to hear the facts.

"fallout" = secret code by JL believers he was great and should have never been let go... one more year, or maybe a couple more, or maybe lifetime...
and that change shouldn't have taken place.

I don't print fallout quotes, or insane RA updates... What did he do in practice yesterday? What time did he wake up? Did he miss a layup in layup drills? The insane CH speculation he really really would have played for JL at BU...The UCD updates....

ALL BROUGHT UP ON A BU FAN SITE by so called BU supporters that scream "INSULT" to current players/coaches.

"All this does is weaken a rebuilding program. That's all this does. Your posts put the program recovery in danger. Sweet dreams, believers." ;););)

Hey B4L and AZ you'll have as much luck talking to a brick wall as to change the minds of DaCoach and T on this subject. I agree that the major emphasis should on what we're doing in the here and now but after the year we had this past season it's easy to see why you think about what could have been.

Ok, bigjimmy, you convinced me- no more talk about the past, only the future. Back to the future!

I don't mind updates on explayers or players we recruited or old coaches or whatever, as long as they're not overwhelming the focus on the actual team. And it's usually tucked away in threads and not permeating through the forum.

Now, the dicussion within those few threads, on the other hand

Can of worms is open however, so what the hey.

I'm fine with people who are mad the program slipped that far down last year. Yes, I don't think Les would slip that low. So that's fair. But let me flip the argument around.

Shouldn't the focus be on how high the program can go instead of how much we can avoid the mediocre and bad? So much of the argument now focuses on how bad BU is, but isn't the ultimate goal to be great? Les may be better at staying not bad, but is worse at achieving greatness, IMO. I'd rather go searching for the coach that will make the program special, and occasionally bottoming out as a result, instead of going with a coach who is steady but can't peak the program to where it should be.

For so much talk about how great Bradley is, it deserves a chance at greatness. Les cannot provide that. I'm fine with disagreement, but don't ever question the intent of this disagreement. It's here because everyone wants greatness. It seems like the pro-Les side just wanted to avoid irrelevance and badness.

Well said TAS. Too much talk of the past, and "what could have been", and how bad this team has been is just not fair to the players and coaches that are here today and trying to turn this thing around. Respecting the past is fine... Living in the past is not. Go Braves! :!:

So the sentiments of fans on a message board can somehow drive the future of this team down? Wow, how things have changed.
I recall people, especially a certain columnist, intentionally trying to undermine the last regime. Where was all this "not fair to the players and coaches" then?

Do two wrongs make a right? What's there to prove?

I have been watching this board for 5+ years. and I sure am tired of "fallout".
Please, Please, PLEASE STOP NOW!

Let's move forward--we should focus on a potenial victory over Michigan on Dec.1, in what could be the biggest home upset in BU history!

PS season tix since 1970...not a newbie fan, but this is my first post.

A few posts back Da Coach posted "no more talk about the past, only the future". Well how long did that last? Nice try Coach.

"fallout" = secret code...

it's not so secret when the home arena has 7,000 empty seats...something I have never seen in the 30 years of games being played there...
I guess I will try to do my best to not notice it and look to the future...if those who turn almost every current topic into a bashing of the previous coach will also look to the future...

People on this board are doing that?
