Again.....I have absolutely no problem with kids deciding to go elsewhere, especially kids that have been here four years (SM, WE, AT).

Given the President's track record with athletic hires I am extremely concerned. If she fouls this up she does extreme damage to the university given the importance of basketball to fundraising.

I will support whoever is the new coach-they deserve that but I am now extremely concerned for the direction of the program.

One thing about all this: I think everyone thinks we'd have a better record next year with Les than without Les. But this move isn't about one single year, it's about long-term direction.

There was significant doubt that Les could consistently compete at the top of the conference, that's what the move is made.

Do you know this for a fact? I doubt JL called Fox. It could just as likely been a number of other sources.

Recall that Ken Kavanagh found out the president had already hired another baseball coach when he called one of the candidates he was considering, and that candidate already knew and informed him that Elvis had been hired by the Bradley president.

They may apply, but after the selection 'process' (if one persons subjective opinion is a process), I doubt they are left standing.

BTW, anyone who think BP has any control of when Bradley fired JL and releases it either doesn't know much about BU, or is just looking to throw stones at other posters...

Because today is about the winner of the tournament, its their day in the spot light. You don't release big news like a coaching change on someone else's big day if you're classy.

Etiquette. All professional leagues, they always try to make sure teams don't announce coaching changes when a significant postseason event is going on. Same thing with the MVC and their marquee event of the year.
 
SM will be gone (I predict U of Illinois) along with all the recruits!! I HATE all the JL haters. Be careful what you ask for!! The grass is not always greener on the other side!!

Bradley is a great school with amazingly passionate fans. The President is going to hopefully due all the necessary leg work to make the best hire possible.

I can assure you nothing has been released or confirmed yet from the university. The rumor/leak didn't come from them.

This completely illustrates the point I've been making for 2 years now. I genuinely don't think people understand how little the BU athletic department has control of outside of scheduling and marketing.
