Can you imagine Pearl in the bright yellow blazer...:-o
Lowery and Marshall want consideration...........

"Iowa also had several coaches??™ representatives contact the school directly to heighten interest. Among those include current Indiana Coach Tom Crean "
Upon re-reading that article it appears to be referring to Iowa's last coaching search to replace Alford. It is not very well written........ But, we can still let Wilkins think Crean is looking.
How about a couple bigs?!...
if we get the two guys we have verballed...JW and Harris, then by 2011, we will have SEVEN frontcourt players under scholarship (Harris, Wilkins, Knezevic, Prosse, Brown, Egolf, Thompson) and only FOUR guards (Jake, DSE, Eddren, Donivine) and yet you want to stop recruiting guards and go after more forwards?
thus 7 of the 11 currently projected players will be forwards/centers....and you want even more??
You are going to be severely disappointed because I suspect your sentiment is NOT shared by our recruiters...

I was listening to Steve Lavin on ESPNews break down UNI's win over Kansas and I decided to brush up on his background. Found this interesting tidbit on Wikipedia

"Due to the recent firing of University of Iowa Head Basketball Coach Todd Lickliter, many Iowa Hawkeye fans have expressed interest in Lavin becoming their next head coach. It is also important to note that the rest of the Hawkeye fan base think those fans supporting Steve Lavin may have a mild case of mental retardation or were dropped repeatedly as a child."

It is now being reported that Fran McCaffrey, currently coach of Siena will be named Iowa's coach tomorrow.
P.S. Sorry for the duplicate post (also on coaching carousel thread)....I didn't see this thread until after I had posted in the other.
