Reynolds: Things are tough all over for Bradley

Have you watched Geno's stlye of play? He doesn't change anything even when he gets his own players the other coachs in the Valley will eat him up.

Plus/minus is in fact a stat kept by most teams. I know JL kept +/- stats for all games, and cumulative +/- for players, and I have heard that this staff does as well.
shaunguth used to try to keep +/- stats on this board, but it is a mammoth task to do it from a play-by-play log, and the BU site does not ever post a play-by-play.
But I suspect the coaches do know the +/- stats for each player, and that may be some of what Coach Ford is referring to in the Dave Reynolds article when he commented about changing the starting lineup- "there??™s not been any competition or game production to warrant that".

I've never seen anything before from Les or Geno so I assumed they didn't keep that stat.

I would love it if they put it on the box score.

You can see a play-by-play on all of the "live stats" games through BradleyBraves.com. Its not as nice or easy as ISU's .pdf format they publish after games, but a Bradley pbp does usually exist.

If you can get into the mobile link (vs the normal "chat" link, its a little better format.

Gets you the WSU game. (Game I D is the same)

OK nothing wrong with a few more physical drills for a team that appears to not go after it.

Now on JP. Plenty of times the guy is busting his tail off getting into position for a pass down low and they guy with the ball just shooting away. Also if he does get into foul trouble then we will see more of AT for those of you that want to see more of him. Just saying.

I really don't care about AT in place of JP, I would really like to see AT and JP on the floor at the same time!

How many games and practices have you been to? You seem to always have a suggetion or a negative comment about GF or the staff on their offense or style!! I am sure you probably have a vast expierence of coaching Div I!! Where do you or when did you coach?

WOW..... So much for BradleyFans free speech.

Everybody is entitled to have an opinion.

How much "Expierence" do you have?

Yes, if someone really wants to dig into those Live Stats pages, they could calulate the +/- for those games. Unfortunately, Live Stats are not available for many away games, and some home games. So it would still be impossible to calculate the +/- stat for players for the season.

He is always commenting on Geno's style or pay!! What makes him such an authority on all of it? It just seems to me maybe he should just worry about how he can coach his UC Davis team out of the cellar!!

I wish JL all the best, but quite honestly, I really don't care about UC Davis.

Since Bradley has shown that they can grotesquely overpay for a basketball coach, I will have to submit my resume to be Geno's offensive coordinator. My asking price will be $1.5 million per year, and in return we will get an offense that is much more diversified with a lot more screens for players like TB and SS as well as offensive schemes that emphasize team concepts! ;-)

I seem to recall the same argument (do posters know more than JL) brought forth from the Pro crowd when any of the Change crowd would question anything JL did when he coaching at BU....

The more things change, the more they stay the same..

Ben - Just cannot happen with the lack of depth at the 5. Imagine both players in foul trouble. Who would man the 5?

Very true... I only think this makes sense with the right team match up. I.E. against UNI. We are 6-16. Let's shake some things up!

Yes, but they aren't always correct. I found this out just a few games into the season.
