Rivals/Yahoo Team Report for BU

It's kind of funny (not) how someone with an unbiased eye can write a profile piece on our Braves and make last year sound like such an unexpected success, when many of our "fans" constantly find fault with Les and the BU program. I really like how the article points out that Les had to essentially throw away his playbook and totally remake the way this team had to play to be competitive in the league. And I thought he was only an "average" coach? ;)

I thought it was interesting the only mention of any newcomers next season is JE. Not even a mention of the two players who have already signed. Other than that, I thought it summed everything up pretty well.

Not to be a smartaleck but coach Les' record is pretty average. Its tough to argue that B4L. You can be a fan and recognize that. In fact, Im sure Jim Les would agree.

And I'm not sure our playbook was all that different than it was last year, truthfully. We simply had guys replace other guys adequately and the new guys offered some quality depth.

We did not run the weave as much and the zones played on forced us to change our playbook!;-)

That was a pretty solid assesment except that they missed the Prosser,Milos commitments. I agree with the JL assesment. A good job managing the loss of Patrick and again when we lost AW and WE this year(and when we lost JC for a stretch in 2006/7 and DR in 2007/8).

Sorry guys we have had a lot of injuries to key players over the last few years and our margin of error is just not that wide (nor are many/any mid-majors).
