Roy Bright to Delaware St

He was on BU's radar as a fallback. He originally went to Cincinnati, but ran into some problems with the law. There was a gun charge against him that was subsequently dropped. He would have been a nice addition. He will dominate the conference he's going to.

Don't the Braves go to Delaware State to play next season?
Bright, who will still be serving his 3-year probation through next year, attended the same prep school (Mt. Zion) that Xavier Crawford went to.

Roy Bright is a very good player who made a bad mistake, and it kept most Div I schools away from him. People are quick to blame a coach who recruits a kid with a history like Bright's if anything goes wrong.
Bright wanted to play for a team with a good chance to make the NCAA tournament. Until last week, the only offers he had were from a couple bad teams with no hope of an NCAA appearance soon. That's why he called Bradley and probably contacted others. Delaware State is probably a good place for him. He is out of the spotlight there, he'll play right away, and will likely make the NCAA.

Being that BU is currently on probation and has one player serving a one year suspension, I don't think they need a player with a checkered past right now.

Nice article about Roy Bright trying to fit in at Delaware State.
He should have a good year there.-

But this article says the kid has had basically NO COACHING.

"He said he never got much instruction from the Bearcats staff and former coach Bob Huggins."

"And he said he never heard a peep at Garden City (Kan.) Community College, coaches there just stood back and let the 6-foot-6 forward dazzle them"

I will eat my hat if this kid does more than cause chaos on this team which has averaged 18 wins over the past 3 season.

Roy Bright isn't doing as well tonight.
With 7 minutes to go in the game, Roy has only two points, and his Delaware State is losing 56-43 to Pitt, who BU beat last spring.
