Roy W gets fan ejected

Roy sounds like a big jerk to me. Get off your pedestal and join us all back here on Earth.

I agree regarding this incident but otherwise I've always like how Roy has presented himself.

Who knows, maybe now after its all over he regrets what he did.

I have been seeing a "surge of bad behavior' in society for the last 12-15 years. Its NOT limited to the sports arenas.

We are turning into a ME, ME, ME society and that means less respect for anyone else. At least thats what I see.

I hate to sound like a grumpy old man....I'm not QUITE there yet but simple things like holding doors for others.....allowing people to get ahead of you in line at the grocery store.....not turning in front of oncoming traffic when the arrow is red causing a traffic jam at the mall.....

OK..I feel better now. :)

you sound like a grumpy old man;)

I'm sure your dad said this and was discussed by Rock and Roll. And his dad was appaulled and revolted at swing music... Sociology shows that older generations almost always find younger generations are rude, because their mannerisms are different. Parents highlight different things, than their parents did. However, history shows us that civilizations are almost always progressive, more tolerant and less prejudicial as time progresses. There is usually a balancing that reverses the trend for a century or two, and we almost always look back upon that trend as oppressive rule, it's an interesting debate, but one that has been played out many times over.

There are tons of things that I see from the younger generation that I myself am not into but do not knock them (i.e. guys using eye liner) but regardless of generations there is one thing that one cannot ignore and that is consideration for others around you. While in college I had a sailors mouth but made an effort to curb my tongue around others in public and especially around my folks. Opening up a door for a lady is just a class thing to do (also it allows you to check them out ;-)) and also has nothing to do with any generational progressive thing.

For the record, it's very much acceptable, prudent, and even encouraged to 'knock that.' Just FYI. ;)

No More Shrek Chants?

No More Shrek Chants?

As an interesting followup of the incident where Roy Williams had the Presbyterian fan ejected just because he dared root for his team...

The guy was AT the Duke-UNC game over the weekend, and was pulling heavily for Duke, and was gloating all along!!

see what Roy Williams' ranting has done...it's made a cult hero out of an absolute nobody fan from Presbyterian....

Does this mean that D1 schools will be randomly reviewing the crowd for inappropriate shout outs during sporting events? No more Shrek chants, no more tweets and maybe no more message board unsubstantiated comments especially about other schools!

OMG - SFP, I am a cult hero of the magnitude of Chuck Norris...
there's more people obsessing over me on other message boards than they ever worried about Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden!!
I find it funny that I can cause such anguish in people that I don't even know nor care to know...and all the while the worst they can possibly find to fire as insults at me is that I am unapologetically PRO-BU!!
