Roy Williams

I am curious to find out others opinion of Roy Williams sitting in the Kansas section last night wearing Kansas gear.

I thought it was poor judgement to wear another schools logo, sit in their section and outwardly cheer for another team. He is the face of North Carolina basketball, if he wants to support Kansas thats fine, he then should have never left the program to become head coach at UNC.

I also think it was a little swip at Calapari and the Memphis program. I have a feeling many in the BCS's are not real fond of the program at Memphis.

I have absolutely no problem with it. Roy has some ties to Kansas, recruited a few of the players and obviously has fond memories of it. I don't think he is so vindictive that he was trying to take a subtle "shot" at Memphis.

Much ado about nothing. If I were a UNC fan I hope I would be secure enough that this wouldn't bother me.

So many posts and so many threads, I didnt see that this topic has already been discussed. Wow this site has gotten quite popular.

If the mods want to delete because it has been discussed, no problem.

BTW BB very good take.

I dont know. Complaining about it seems weird to me. It's like the boyfriend who is so insecure he doesn't want his girlfriend to have any male friends. So Roy is married to UNC but likes to hang out with Kansas every once in a while. That's cool to me.

More like Roy was married to KU for 15 years, leaves that marriage for a 'sexier' one, but still wants to be a part of his old marriage. Sorry, laws in most states prevent one from having more than one wife. Roy picked which one he wanted. If I am the current wife I am wondering why this guy keeps wanting to bandwagon onto the one he chose to leave.

He did it once. It isn't like he goes out of his way to attend KU games. He was already at the Final Four. Roy wasn't the only coach there. If he were going to random KU games it is an issue. This was a one-time thing.

I doubt it caught any UNC people by surprise.

It's not the first time. After he spurned KU, he went out of his way to go back and attend and speak at their season-ending banquet. This was done much to the chagrin of many KU supporters and staff.

I actually think it bothered more KU people than UNC folks. They're still mad that he left (but probably not as mad after last night).
