The RPI formula is not very meaningful early in the season. But Bradley fans can enjoy it while it lasts-

I like the 8 SOS too, obviously conference play will knock it down, but hopefully it stays high enough to keep at large possibilities in play if we live up to our end of continuing to win.

Update- Bradley remains at #2 in the RPI, but with their win today, Evansville has jumped up to #7 in RPI- https://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2024/rpi-live

The MVC is now 7th in Conference RPI, and second only to the Mountain West among Mid-Major conferences- https://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2024/rpi-conference

MVC RPI- these are subject to changes
2 Bradley
7 Evansville
38 UIC
43 Drake
66 Indiana State
98 SIU
113 Missouri State
189 Belmont
300 Illinois State
302 Valparaiso
309 Northern Iowa
358 Murray State

Strength of Schedule is also currently ranked #2 hardest in Division I by some sites
(actually Bradley should be #1 except that the only team above them played a game against a horribly weak team that isn't NCAA DI, DII, or DIII, and not even NAIA, so the rankings ignore that game. They played a tiny, 1-6, "USCAA" team that probably wouldn't be able to beat a strong high school team. Believe it or not, the USCAA actually even includes some junior colleges!
Here's their list of schools, has anyone ever heard of even one of them? - LINK )

ISU, Valpo, UNI, and Murray State really under performing this year. Probably expected Valpo to struggle in their first year under Powell, but seeing Murray St., UNI, and ISU this bad is pretty disheartening.

I’m never disheartened to see the Redbirds under performing. And I never take a game with them lightly. Hope we go undefeated against them this year.

...and yet our NET is 78 after beating Vermont. There are teams that we've already beaten ranked above us. Top 100 NET almost entirely BCS conference teams.

I don’t think the NET has been released yet so you’re just looking at the final from last year.

For the record, that NET ranking is from WarrenNolan.com (not the NCAA), and is one of the better websites that estimate NET rankings, and which will usually be what the NCAA will show when they start posting NET rankings sometime in December.
I'm not an expert, but from what I've read, there can be differences maybe because the NCAA's NET formula is quite a bit more complex (see below) and includes a number of analytics, scoring margin, etc., and there might be differences in the way the NCAA comes up with those compared to what bloggers use.
There have also been differences in what is considered a home game vs. road game vs. a neutral court game, which can affect the NET significantly.
Example: last year Bradley played Arkansas at a neutral site in Little Rock, not at Arkansas' home court in Fayetteville. But if you look at WarrenNolan.com schedule page for Bradley from 2022-23, they assign that game as a true road game ("AT Arkansas"). Maybe the NCAA did that, too, since it was a big home advantage for them, but I don't know if they reveal those things.

The fine print at WarrenNolan.com confirms that the NET rankings shown are from the end of last year. The records are from this year, but not the NET rankings. Here's the fine print from just above the listing:

"NET Delta" is the change in a team's NET Ranking since MON, NOV 27th.
NET Rank updated for games through MAR 12th.

Since the "NET Delta" column is completely blank, the site -- like the NCAA -- is likely waiting a few more weeks to post this year's NET.
