I think the rules committee needs to do away with the Euro step because it has made it too confusing for the officials on traveling calls.
The other thing is the allowing of players to continue to palm and even at times cup the basketball. Try defending a player when he is allowed to do that because he can change directions in a hurry .
Last I do not mind some physical play but anymore they are letting guys push and shove all over the court which by the rule book is a foul. I do not like touch fouls being called yet it has gotten so out of hand that multiple players are getting injured in every game.

I concur on the physicality, it doesn't need to be a collision sport.

I don't think the euro influence on the college game is going away, it benefits by providing a more unique and dynamic scoring system for teams, and benefits the more athletic player base (ie power conference teams....unfortunately). I highly doubt this is going to go away as even high school basketball is being influenced by it, in addition to the NBA.

We actually seen palming the ball called during the MVC tournament. The first time I've seen it called in several years
We did which when it was called I said how in the world can you call that now at this time because it is being done so much across the country. The problem with the Euro step is it makes it harder for officials to make travelling calls. The 3 seconds in the lane is something else they rarely call when in fact players seem to be in there for 5 seconds or longer.

I just figured they got rid of it like an offensive player holding a ball for 5 seconds while closely guarded.
