Rumor BU has new HC

Tornado, The www.recordpub.com article was posted under the Geno Ford kent state thread earlier today. Why are you posting this as a new thread? Do you have new intel? If not, this part of the story was broken earlier by another member.

I'm in line also, especially if Willie sticks around!

Same here! It does not seem like he would be a bad hire. Judging from his bio, he is around 36 years old, and has led Kent St to two consecutive MAC regular season championships. He came within one point of an NCAA Tournament appearance this year after losing to Akron 66-65 in the MAC tourney championship game. He then led Kent St to an NIT Elite Eight appearance (all road games) before losing to Colorado.

So even though he fell just short of winning the "big one" and making the Big Dance this year, he seems like a qualified candidate for the Bradley head coaching vacancy. Obviously if hired, he felt that the Valley would be a step up from what used to be a very good conference in the MAC. So hopefully this rumor will be confirmed one way or the other within the next day or so, if not sooner.

What is wrong with you? T is the source of the vast majority of discussion points on this board and provided a relevant link. Zero need to be rude and condescending.

my apologies for being rude, but i did feel like i was being attacked (though I guess that wasn't the case) and responded that way because of that.

Looks like he was a pretty good player....

If true, then this is another in a long line of unimpressive (and that's being nice) recent moves... IMHO.

Why? He's got head coaching experience, and he has won his conference twice in a row. Isn't this what was lacking with Les according to some people here?

Agreed. Business as usual. I hope this is a rumor. If it is a rumor and our coaching search continues, I'll donate 5 grand to BU at the end of the year for a top tier coach. Not much, but more than most.

Can't let a day go by without some Tornado bashing! LMAO! IF you're first in line T I will be about 30-40 back in case of an assassination attempt. ;)
