Sammy Could Hit the 1000-point Mark

not all that likely, but who knows...
Sammy has a career total of 973 points, and would need 27 on Wednesday to hit the millenium mark.....

It's kind of ironic that P'Allen...for all his reputation as a GREAT scorer...just hit the 1000-pt mark a couple games ago, but now with his suspension, he'll be stalled on 1024 and Sammy may catch up...

So, if P'Allen is a legendary, explosive great scorer, and if Sammy has basically the same number of points at the same time in his career...
then I guess Sammy is also an explosive, great scorer!!!

One more thing...Andrew Warren is sitting at 856 career points, and at his present pace will hit the 1000 mark right about BracketBuster time......

OE is the current career scoring leader among all MVC players, at 1670 points...Josh Young right behind at 1592,
but almost certainly, unless Sammy goes pro, he will enter next season and the Missouri Valley's career scoring leader!!

I wonder who was the last Brave to reach 1,000 points in his 1st 3 years.
D-Ruff??
Sammy has been called on to do so much in his Bradley career. He's the right guy to be in that position. He's always been fun to watch too.

Daniel Ruffin did not reach 1000 until the middle of his senior season and ended his career with 1280.

Jeremy Crouch also hit 1000 in the middle of his senior season and finished with 1306.

Cellus did get 1493 in just 3 years at BU, but that last season was his senior year, and not his junior year, as he spent one year at juco..

so the last kid who played 4 years at BU who reached 1000 as a junior was Phillip Gilbert, who hit 1000 about midway in his junior year (2002-2003).

Hersey and Mitchell JJ Anderson are the only two Braves who have ever reached the 1000-pt mark by the end of their sophomore seasons.
