How do you guys feel about Duke getting the 3rd #1 seed? I think it could've easily going to WVU or Duke but for them to jump to the 3rd overall seed I don't think was right.

I don't either. But come on! They're Duke! I mean THEY ARE Duke! Don't you get it?!!! ;)

The "aura" of Duke carries them again! :D
 
Who cares? They are all #1 seeds, what's the big deal? They just spent 5 minutes complaining about Duke getting the 3rd #1, ahead of Syracuse.

Meanwhile, there are a hundred other schools waiting to find out if they even get into the BCS's, I mean the NCAA's tournament.

True, but some didn't even have Duke as number one seed. Not that would have made any difference as there really is not that much difference between a 1 and 2 or even a 1 and 3 or 4 seed these days.
 
Ha ha! UNI up against a non-BCS team. What a shock...NOT!

But that makes it all but official for the MWC. Four bids from their conference for sure.
 
UNI gets a lousy 9th seed against #8 UNLV. At leasts it's a good matchup I think UNI can win.
 
UNI a 9 seed? Wow I figured they would be a 6 or 7. Tough draw for them, playing UNLV and then if they win most likely Kansas in the 2nd round. Don't like that draw for them.

Agreed about that seed though. They were hosed, irregardless of how weak the Valley scheduled this year!

That may have been before Duke blew through their conference tournament, while Syracuse got knocked off in their first game by a low (#8 ) seed

I'll squash this conspiracy theory right now: the non-BCS vs. non-BCS matchups in the tourney....that conspiracy theory is the stupidest one in the history of sport. That doesn't happen, period, and no one can even control it to rig it that way.

SDSU an 11 and UNLV an 8...hmmmmm....think they got that backwards...

I thought they'd match up UNI with either UTEP or Utah State...guess not.

I never thought it was a conspiracy theory either. Just not surprised that some of these matchups crop up each year. And though some will disagree with me, I actually kind of like this because it guarantees a non-BCS team advancing to the next round.

It happens every year.

Worst matchup ever was 7/10 Creighton/Nevada (don't remember who had what seed). But, both teams WERE RANKED IN THE TOP 25!! How can two ranked teams square off in the first round?!?
 
The Valley beating Kansas early again?? Man that is a tough draw to try and get to the Sweet Sixteen for UNI. UNLV will be tough in the first round, the Valley needs to win a tourny game, it has been a while.

UNLV had a much stronger resume than SDSU though, so I think that was fair. Agreed that I thought UNI would be seeded higher though.
