I agree T, even though most readers can decipher that this is just a humorous article, I'm sure there are some people who might only glance at it, and think it's real. They then start spreading the rumor by word of mouth that Shaun is using steroids and it could get out of hand. If I was Shaun, I wouldn't be happy about them using my name connected with steroids whether the article is satire or otherwise.

If you're ANYONE, free speech protects satire. Tornado and dubl r 1, I'm sorry you don't seem to appreciate sarcasm. It would be pretty pathetic for people to read "The alarm bells went off after the 6??™7??? point guard came into the league weighing in at 171 pounds and in only three seasons managed to balloon up to an astonishing 182 pounds and still counting" in the article and not understand that it's a joke.

I see your point, but I don't even like the silly kinds of stories (like the Lirpa Sloof satire) that occur in newspapers, only to let you know at the end that it's not really true, and then I feel I wasted my time reading it, since I wouldn't have bothered had I known it was not true.

I love sarcasm, and am probably one of the most sarcastic people around. However, in this case, the article does not indicate that it is satirical in nature until the very end in small print. A reader could easily browse the headline, which does not indicate in anyway that the article is Satire, and come away with the wrong conclusion. IMO articles such as these should have a header and a closing statement which indicates it's intent or content.
As far as your claim that it would be pretty pathetic for people to read

Look, all I am saying is that I thought the article was done in poor taste, and if were done about me, without my knowledge of it(Don't know if Shaun knew about it or not) I wouldn't be real thrilled about it. I'm not saying it's illegal, just don't think it's very fair, and certainly would call it journalism. I could write that crap all day long.

In case some of you guys start reading the other articles on that site, Kobe didn't actually demand for the entire Laker's team to be traded for an Eastern conference team and the Las Vegas mayor didn't deem the Seattle Supersonics team too depressing to move to his town. I hope this makes the articles more interesting knowing this bit of information.

Are you kidding me? Everyone knows that wasn't the real Chuck Norris. Look, whenever anyone challenges the Chuckster, and this rarely happens because it usually means certain death
for the poor sap, this is his new standard protocol: Because Norris has so much respect for anyone who would dare challenge him, this is what he does. He plucks 1 hair and 1 hair only from his illustrious beard and puts in in a small cup. He then adds 1 drop of water, 1 drop of gasoline, 2 drops of jet fuel, and a pint of grecian hair formula and sets this under a heat lamp. In 1 hour a full size, albeit mindless, clone of himself has grown from the mixture. He then sends this clone out to fight in the challenge. Because the clone cannot think for itself it certainly cannot defeat any worthy opponent, although many a man has ended his own life upon seeing this clone, as they have thought it was the real Chuck Norris coming for him. By doing this Chuck allows an opponent who he respects to live and not get humiliated. Some say this will get Chuck humiliated, but those who say it don't live very long. This is clearly what took place on March 31, 2006 in the Field House when POB appeared to have dunked Chuck Norris' head. It was a clone people.
