OK, group, do you thinks WSU can upset OSU and get a Valley team in the Final Four? I think it will be tough, but possible. I like that it is on the west coast....far away from the home court advantage we all know the big boys love to have and exploit. In fact, as the only longshot still playing, my guess is a lot of the independent fans will be cheering for Wichita.

Plus, the Shocks' defense should keep them in any game, so if they can once again hit their shots....it could happen.

On the downside, I think OSU bulk will make life much more difficult for Carl Hall, who has had a great tourney.

Anyway it goes, it'll be fun to watch. Is it too much to ask for the crowd in yellow to cheer "MVC! MVC!" just once, like we did in 06?
 
well - just about everyone admits both Pitt & Gonzaga were very overrated and ripe for an upset - then LaSalle probably wasn't really even a Sweet 16 team - just lucky via an upset of K-State on a nite K-State missed key shots & FTs..

but now they face an all different type of opponent...a definite Final Four contender...it'll be tough

Ohio State's size and depth will probably wear the Shockers down. I expect it to stay close for much of the game, then for OSU to pull away.

I was just thinking that the other day, would be nice, considering they're still FAITHFUL to the conference *hemhemCreightonhemhem*
 
Solid first half by the Shockers, and a poor shooting first half by Ohio State.
Wichita State leads 35-22 at halftime.
 
So far WS looking good......Go Valley.....just hope they win so all the experts on the panel have to eat crow!

Man, those announcers were brutal! The color announcer finally stopped calling Malcolm Armstead, Malcom Armstrong, after Kevin Harlan finally corrected him. But the incessant cheerleading for Ohio State, and the constant critiquing of everything Wichita State did was a little too much.

I was hearing

"Yeah Ohio State needs to make shots and.... O did that Wichita player really just do that? O are they really up 20?"
 
Way to go Shockers. Show the country the Valley isn't down. In '06 the 5th place team made the sweet 16 now the 2nd place team at least gets to the final 4. 2 more Shockes we're pulling for ya here in P'town.

One more comment on Completely Biased Sports (CBS)......again, they didn't show the Valley celebrating a championship. Can you imagine them cutting away after a Duke win without talking to Seth Curry or Coach K? Yet, regular programming was more important than giving Wichita a chance to comment. Were they afraid they'd say one reason they are playing "angry" is because CBS disrespected them and the Valley so much at Arch Madness?
