SIU 86 BU 81- stats

We are now playing walk-ons and leaving Milos and AT on the bench , what is going on, I know R.Phillips plays hard but you cannot expect him to guard a player that is 5 inches taller, we had a chance to build a larger lead and put him in.
 
I think Jim got a little too cute with the 1-3-1 defense that left Dillard with no defender within 5 feet of him with 90 secs left. Sure it might be good to throw off the play they had designed in the timeout, but unless you're sure about the 1-3-1, just play straight up and don't leave their best player wide open. This was the beginning of the end - too cute IMO.

I've got to think (and hope) that this is an internal discipline matter with MK and AT and Les just has not disclosed it as such. There had better be a real good reason these guys have not seen the floor these last few years.
 
We left 3 pt shooters open several times tonite. The last play for SIU where Dillard was isolated to draw the D and we let Freeman wide open in the corner. Anyone should have helped other that whoever was guarding Freeman...I think it was SM...it was a great play that CL drew up

Attendance 10,236- nice crowd

We are getting little from our bench, causing too many minutes for the starters. That is the reason for the letdown at the end of the game.
We really missed Dodie and Dyricus in this game. SIU has talented guards who shot lights out in the 2nd half.

I agree that our bench is weak right now. Dodie or DSE is 6th man if not starter. Losing 2 games at home in which we had a 15 point lead really hurts. Why didn't AW or TB get the ball the last couple possessions? I too wonder why MK or AT are being benched...frustrating start to the new year for BU...
 
Getting little from our bench because AT and Milos are not playing. The starters don't have to be forced to play this much when Les isn't even attempting to play 2 decent bench players.
