SIU adds another player to 2019-20 roster

New SIU head coach Bryan Mullins still had one open scholarship left that he was holding and hoping to use on a player who could help his team for the 2019-20 season. And despite the fact that classes already began (SIU fall classes began Monday, August 19) he decided to use that extra scholarship now.
Though their classes started over 2 weeks ago, somehow they were able to get their new recruit enrolled and eligible for this season.
The biggest weakness SIU had was inside players. They only had 1 true big man on the roster Northwestern grad-transfer Barret Benson. So Mullins just added 6'11" Stevan Jeremic, a juco transfer from University of Southern Utah Eastern.

USU-Eastern is the same junior college that former Bradley player and Geno Ford recruit Kendahl Amerson came from. Amerson never played at Bradley. He failed to qualify his first season here in 2014-15, then left and transferred to a Division II school (Univ. of Central Oklahoma) for the 2015-16 season.

Stevan Jeremic is originally from Belgrade, Serbia

Last season as a juco sophomore starter at USU-Eastern, he averaged 7.5 ppg and 6.1 rpg

Jeremic played his freshman season at Odessa Junior College in Texas where he averaged 3.4 ppg and 2.2 rpg.
He does not appear to have had any other offers, but he should help the Salukis' inside depth a little.
