Last nite Herzog announced 2-0 at half Maryland and most people gasped not hearing him THEN say something like.... but then 2-1 and then 2-2 in OT. (goof up #1). I THINK he then reported 2-2 after 1 OT.....THEN the HUGE gaffe....he said "with 1 minute to go or 1 minute gone in the second OT, BU 3 Mary Land 2. Everyone applauded BUT we all thought the game was still going not understanding soccer OT is sudden death.

So then he starts announcing welcome home plans and stuff and there is a collective murmur throughout the stands asking....."WHO WON". It was quite funny as I have never heard such mass confusion that slowly trickeld down to Herzog. So after a few minutes he said something like there seems to be some confusion.....Bradley defeats Maryland 3-2 in OT. Another nice reponse from the crowd but no where near the roar had it been understood initially.

I thought the total screw up was when he made the final announcement while a SEMO player had the ball at the free throw line and shot a free throw... that was HORRIBLE timing. If KK had been at the game - PH woulda had his arse chewed.

Kudos to the girls of the Bradley softball team and everyone else who made the long trip out to Maryland. Who knows? Maybe their support helped keep the Braves in the game when they fell behind early 2-0. I don't know how often it happens, but it is rare for a team to come back from a 2-0 deficit, especially on the road, in bad weather, and against a very good team.

By the way, the bus would just be getting back into Peoria this morning. Let's hope they had a safe trip back.:D

Ya we just got back about an hour ago. That was the most unbelievable thing I've seen. I can't even put into words how amazing last night was. We figured it out that we were on the bus for more then a day (28 hours or so) but it was more then worth it. Hopefully Ohio State wins today so we have a much shorter ride next weekend.
 
I take it NO home games for BU. This next WIN:) puts them into the final four correct? Where is that player? Hopefully somewhere warm.
 
The Final 4 is in Cary, NC I do believe. Some large soccer complex just outside of Raleigh, not far from Duke and North Carolina Universities.

Some estimates I heard this morning from the rally was there was about 75 people in attendance and would of been a whole lot more had there not been the annual all dorm dance downtown. However seeing as it was so late and i'm sure most of the players didn't get much sleep Friday night, i'm betting they were just wanting to come back home and hit the bed with a shorter rally. Keep in mind that they were coming from the eastern time zone so it was like arriving back about 1-2am. Next weekend will be crazy, keep your ears peeled for a bus announcement. I bet that bus will fill up in 2 hours or less.

the ohio state radio station just gave props to Bradley over their comeback...they are saying the ohio state team could looks towards bradley's win as inspiration for a comeback because they are down 2 goals themselves currently
 
This would be huge for Bradley if UCSB won, rankings don't mean much but i'd rather take UCSB than 5th ranked OH State. Plus it's in sunny warmer California LOL.

the only negative in UCSB winning is that I dont think there would be as much bradley fan support in going to california as opposed to columbus ohio
