New! MVC Fan Fest
Admission is free. The Anheuser-Busch 2008 Fan Fest begins Friday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m. (until midnight) and is located on the Scottrade Grounds (at the corner of 14th and Clark streets). DJ services will be provided most of the day, while food, beer, cotton candy, Dippin Dots and soda will be on sale. The area will also feature a pop-a-shot game. On Friday, one of the teams from the world famous Clydesdales will be on site (weather permitting). Saturday's hours are 11 am until 8 pm, while Sunday's hours are from 11:30 am until 5 p.m. Large-screen TVs will be available at the Fan Fest so fans can follow the games going on inside Scottrade Center.

Broadcast Information
FSN Midwest, Comcast SportsNet and CBS will be the television homes for the tournament. FSN Midwest (which can be seen in all 10 league cities), and Comcast SportsNet will televise live all four quarterfinals on Friday, March 7 and both semifinals on Saturday, March 8. CBS will carry the championship game live on Sunday, March 9 at 1:05 p.m. Central.

It is in a place called the Shed.........
Friday...starting at NOON...'til 2PM....it is in the Union Station across from Houlihans....Southeast corner of Union Station, lower level.

The Shed Bar and Grill
As one of the hottest new restaurants in St. Louis, The Shed Patio Bar and Grill welcomes guests with a friendly atmosphere and a laid-back vibe. Sit back and relax as you watch the big game over dinner, or enjoy a summer happy hour on our wonderful outdoor patio. Along with its lively bar, our St. Louis MO restaurant also features Golden Tee, along with live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Heading the kitchen of our downtown St. Louis restaurant is executive Chef Patrick McElroy, who has created a delicious menu of signature burgers, salads, and popular shared appetizers. The cuisine also highlights the unique tang of local flavors: burgers and brats are made with all-Missouri natural beef, and draft beers feature local breweries such as Schlafly and Anheuser Busch Brands. And best of all, our restaurant in St. Louis features attractive prices, making it the perfect option for family dinners or travelers on a budget.

I wish they did student tickets differently so we could attend more of these... Right now you have to stand in the atrium forever then FLY to the student section to get seats. So we don't get to participate in the planned activities.

I understand your point but on the other hand, the tickets are free so I'm not gonna whine about the process.

I didn't really know where to put this, but does anyone know what the reasoning is behind the whole tournament being broadcast? I know that the Friday and Saturday games are the big ones, but I'd like to see the Thursday night games as well. Also, with the recent success of the Valley I would think it would be something that has become more managable.

There is little chance the Thursday games will ever be on broadcast TV. Just like the attendance for those games pales in comparison to the other sessions, there is just not enough interest in the play-in games.
Maybe eventually the MVC will webcast them.

The deal the MVC has with JumpTV (formerly XO Technologies), will be reworked and the webcasting will be improved next year.

One more note-- I heard today that if Bradley wins Friday, their game Saturday will be available FREE on the BUBraves.tv system for those who cannot watch in person or on TV.

In the future, improvements in webcasting technology will allow for more and better webcasting of games.

I also have heard from a member of the Comcast team, and they feel the TV deal with Bradley has worked well for both sides. They are looking forward to next season. With more time to plan and more time to sell advertising, look for most, if not maybe all the road games to be broadcast. This is great news for Bradley fans.

I guess I understand the reasoning, just figured there's a bunch of people that are MVC die-hards who would like to see all the games, guess it's not us who pay the big bucks though. But webcasting would be a good idea too!

Three out of my group of four will be there for Thursday night games. We haven't decided yet about watching first friday game or going to pre-game party or a little of both, yet.

The Grassman is leaving at 1:00. Get to the Renaissance at 3:30, check in.
Go to bar for beer and a burger. Head to the Scottrade for the first of 9 games @ 5:30..
This is as close to heaven on earth as it gets. 4 days, 9 games, and plenty of, although pricey, Beer.
If The Braves Win? Really cool!.:p:p
