Standing room only and attendance record tonight!!!!

Not sure if this has been posted yet, sorry if its a repeat....

BU has 500 standing room only tickets for tonight's game against ISU that will be $8 for the public and $1 for students.

The bubraves article also mentions the possibility of breaking the all-time attendance mark set at the BU/Illinois game in 1999 and the all-time student attendance mark set at the DePaul game this year.

Can't wait for tonight!! GO BRAVES!!!
 
This is great, what I wouldnt give to be there tonight!!! Lets hope the Braves respond with a big WIN. I will be sitting at home watching it on the PC and screaming while my wife looks at me like I am nuts. For years I had to call my Dad and have him put the phone down by the radio to listen to the games, thank god for BUTV!!! The phone bills could reach $800 bepending on how many games BU played in a month.

For those of you lucky enough to go do some screaming for me and bring home the W...........

I think I have said this before but This is what Bradley Basketball is suppose to be; sellout crowds and fans excited once again as the team is fun to watch and the future looks bright,I guess the only thing left to say is GOooooooo Braves.

I've been enjoying them on the radio feed via the internet. thankfully! Can't get WMBD up here in chicago

I was at that game vs the illini, back when they hgd the Peoria trio of williams, mclain, and Bradlford? (did they all go to manual?) i always forget the thrid one.

they have a picture of the game in the hallway at the CA and what's cool is I know specifically where we are in the pic b/c of our seats. Abba's Army if any of you remember!

Sergio 'Clank' McClain, Frankie 'the Second Coming' Williams, and Marcus 'The English Major' Griffin were all from Manual.

I think Bradford was from Tennessee.

I thought I was the only one nuts enough to do this.

When Bradley went to Canada for the Oct. 2004 preseason tour against the Canadian Colleges, none of the games were broadcast. I made the trip and was giving play-by-play reports on the games to tornado by cellphone so he could post on the bulletin board (this was pre-bradleyfans). My cellphone package did not include minutes from Canada, so my phone bill for that month was $350!

I will try to help out as well, and I was going to help my kids make a sign to cheer on our guys, but the last sign I brought seemed to cause one guy on the other board to go ballistic...
on second thought, let 'em go ballisitc.... :roll:
 
I hope some day to get back to Peoria for a game and we have to get together for a meal and a few drinks before or after. The night will be on me, its gotta be cheaper than the phone bills!!!

Cory Bradford was from Memphis, and was not one of the Manual guys. Marcus Griffin was the other of the Manual trio.

I remember Aba's Army. Aba Koita was a great guy, and he is still playing pro basketball in Europe.
 
I, too was at that game in '99. One of those games I will never forget.

Mex, why didn't you just listen to the games over the internet?

yeah we had our 15 mins.. Aba was a really nice guy, down to earth. Thanks for the Manual info, i knew Bradford didn't sound right..
 
Did not have it back then. About five or six years ago I started listening over the Internet and then came BUTV. If the games where on TV I would have my Dad tape them and FedEx them to me as well.........
