After reading the paper and listening to Coach on WMBD this morning, as usual the team has some "dogs" in practice. It happens to every team no matter how much talent. The players will end up taking care of who plays and who does not based on effort. So no matter how much hype a player has coming in, it boils down to desire and effort. Keep on them Coach and if someone I would like to see play does not, I will not blame the Coach. I do not think we will have to guess who these players are... playing time will tell us!

I am guessing it's most likely new guys who are adjusting to 'what it takes' to play at this level. I have a feeling by season's end, these things will have been worked out. I'd bet good money that the guys who are 'dogging it' aren't JC, Ruff, Salley, or Singh.

I know it's easier to say who isn't dogging it compared to who is, but I'd put Andrew Warren on that as well BB.

Coach did not mention names but eluded to guys who are not ready for the D1 level of intensity.

I don't want to say that's 'to be expected', but I can't say it's overly surprising.

One guy I would bet good money on being one of those is Will Egolf. I have heard reports from various sources that noted he may not be ready for the competition level yet (I will give him somewhat of a break, he was playing in Alaska his whole life), and his body language said that to me Friday night. What does this mean? Probably not a whole lot in the long run, but rather something that is a part of a true freshman adjusting to Division I.

I think it is probably all just big adjustments for the new guys. However, we are really depending on them for a good season so they better adjust quick. We have tough games early. I would hate to see MSU 80 BU 47... could happen...

I don't think we should be guessing the names of the players. That could put negative thoughts in people's head, when it might not be true. Like Geothedog said, we will find out when we go to the games.

I would have to say that the jr. college players would be the ones not use to playing at this level ; I don"t believe in naming names as we will see for ourselves on which players get the minutes.

I don't see anything wrong in speculating on names based on what little we've seen, as long as it's acknowledged that it's a very limited sample size. No one is putting anyone down here. Time will tell indeed.
