Hehe - take a look at your link MR.

Sorry, Mob, I don't get what you mean.

I get a page about Web-Pros and here is some of the text...

"Web-Pros employs the most creative professionals in the industry. We integrate technology with well thought out design. Every day we strive to be the best. Through our work in design, print, web site creation or system administration, the Web-Pros team gives it their all. Please take a moment to learn how our team can increase your bottom line."

Must be me.

Peoria, IL - Steve Merfeld has a new home in the same conference. The former Aces Head Coach has accepts a job at Bradley University in the Missouri Valley.

Sources inside Bradley's athletic department tell NEWS 25 that Merfeld will be an assistant coach for the Braves.

Merfeld joins Jim Les' staff. Les started coaching the Braves the same time Merfeld took over at Evansville five years ago.

Merfeld was 54 and 91 at UE. Ironically, his final regular season game was a heart breaking loss against Bradley. The braves were 22 and 13 last season and reached the second round of the NIT.

Mob and Houston, does the link work for you guys w/o the timeout?

Not me, MR... but no big deal. I believed you and others regarding this story... then bugregshu pasted some text.

I agree that hiring Merfeld seems like a pretty good hire. He has been a D-1 head coach at two schools, he knows the valley.. but I am still a bit surprised. I thought we promoted Eric to associate head coach meaning he will be the "lead" assistant and get paid the most money. It would seem like a pretty big fall from experienced head coach to "second" assistant. Or am I really misreading something ??

I think that's a valid question, however we could turn it around and say that if Merfeld came in as the head assistant he would move ahead of Eric who had already done a lot for this program. Hopefully Merfeld comes in, works hard, and helps the program as it continues to grow, I have no doubt that that will be the case.

Eric is head of recruiting and on the road a LOT.Merfeld will be more day to day with the players coaching and teaching and braking down tape.

Thanks for the link. The first one worked for me.

Just a guess, but I doubt Merfeld is looking to stay long term in Peoria. I would assume that his resume will be out there for a head coaching position in the future.
