yes, the Rocky Top does draw pretty well....considering those guys are playing in unnumbered white undershirts!
But again...can there be any defense being played? If not then can this endeavor be all that good to develop the players?
The guy leading the league in scoring is Scotty Hopson at 37.1 ppg after 7 games. There are two other guys scoring over 33 ppg, and most teams have 6, 8, or even as many as 9 players averaging in double figures!
Guys who you've never heard of (Boo Jackson, Jon Primm, Jon Higgens, Damon Johnson) are averaging 20-27 ppg.
Even Josh Tabb, who has a LIFETIME scoring average in college of just 2.8 ppg, and has never even equalled his freshman avg. of 3.5 ppg since then...is averaging 22.3 ppg in the Rocky Top League!
ex-Volunteer, Chris Lofton, who really is a good player, and who is playing in Europe, made short appearances in two games for the Team Choice (so his stats don't qualify), and all he did was score 103 points in those two games, hitting 59% of his shots for an astounding scoring average of 51.5 ppg, although he has since quit playing since the league is barely more than a wide open layup drill.
