Superstitions!!??

Just curious if any of the other fans of BU have any irrational, quirky things that they do while cheering on the Braves that they feel somehow helps them to victory. Lucky socks? Gameday meals? A certain way they wear their hat/shirt/pants?
Good luck beverage?

For me, I've found that when the game gets close and BU needs a miracle, if I sit on my coffee table directly in front of my big screen, something wonderful tends to happen. That's where I was for most of the Pitt game last year and yesterday when the Franklin fumble became a 3!! I try not to use it too often, don't want to have the luck wear off.

If it's needed, I'll be there today for the SIU game - Go Braves.

Anyone else want to add their 2 cents?
 
I have a few:

1: I never shave unless they lose (10 days now since UNI)

2: I never wear BU shirt (always lose when I did)

3: In tight games I putt in my living room to calm down

4: I pace back and forth a lot

not that I'm superstitious, but these things help
 
Just because I am nervous, if the game is close late in the second half I drink more beers than any human should. But it works for me. I also do it at home games. The beer guys at carver love me.
 
Yesterday my wife said we need some good luck after the 2 minute mark when uni took the lead....so she muted the TV and turned on Dave and the Coach...and even with the radio feed being 3 secs faster the Braves luck changed with a taravel and missed 3 by uni and the Miracle 3 by WF! And I always wear RED! Last thing I do is change seats if the other team starts a run or the Braves start to falter...seems to work! :-o :lol:
 
I think Macabre Mob told me he wears the same underwear for the entire season as long as they have a winning record. He's going on 2 years now!
 
Rumor is he wears them on his head................and by some of his post....they seem to be getting tight! :-o :lol: :lol:

I love this board - thanks for sharing!! I think I might try New Guys superstition some time - sounds like fun.

no wonder nobody wants to be around him
 
i always play NCAA Basketball on playstation usually on the hardest setting against the team we're about to play and see how it pans out...kinda sad cuz i beat SIU by 4
 
I usually wear the same shirt (white bradley shirt, in a sea of red) and always say "woo-woo" for free throws. I dont say anything for zac though :lol:
