I was reading my partners facebook one day and some girl wrote..."just got home from the pool...going to take a nap".

I was hooked...............NOT.

Yeah I don't get it either but that doesn't make it wrong...people just need to understand you are throwing thoughts out for the world to see, scrutinize and use in any way they wish.

I like my privacy a bit to much....but thats just me.

B4L I strongly disagree with you because of the fact that I see how many parties get busted on a weekly basis. Task force is here so often that I'm surprised we have as many parties as we do because it seems like your party is more likely to get busted than not.

The bars can be trouble too but task force always stops to bust the parties on campus and when they can't, then they move to the bars.

You have much better first hand knowledge than me DUBrave so I take you at your word. I stand corrected. :)

Ok so you think these things that were said were appropriate?
There were anonymous message boarders saying-
-What TB did amounted to "sexual harassment" and that he was laible for lawsuits and legal action against him. For anyone who actually believes this, please look up the legal definition of "sexual harassment". (Reality-what TB did doesn't even come close).
-there were some hysterical posters claiming that what TB did was a violation of the law! They claimed it's illegal to take someone's picture on private property without getting their permission. This is, of course, ridiculous. If this was true, everyone of us who has ever taken a picture at an amusement park, a sporting venue, restaurant. etc (all private properties), is also guilty, and we've all done it thousands of times. Even newspapers take pictures and publish them without getting people's permission. This is simply not any legal issue at all, and certainly is not a violation of any law.
-there were people demanding that TB's actions warranted expulsion from school (reality- they were never close).
-there were claims that TB's actions violated multiple student and athgletic codes of behavior. (Reality- nothing TB did comes close to meeting the definitions of the codes that were cited)
-there were demands that the coaches be fired, immediately.
-even Bradley's SID was held responsible by one poster

No, I think it's obvious now that people who saw this as a much more minor transgression were the rational ones. I was the first to predict that Coach Les would suspend TB Friday night, and I was right. Many posters I have had private communication with can confirm this, but it's also right in this TB thread. I am not saying what TB did wasn't inappropriate, as it was, but it never rose to the level of what was being accused. And in the end, all these hysterical rantings about legal issues, expulsion, violations of athletic and student codes, and sexual harrassment were way off base. Sorry we can't all see that. I have no problem if anyone disagrees, but I just wanted to make everyone aware that the BU administration agrees with me on this.

And so does GRASSMAN.
I just hope Sports Center does not get hold of us.
"Bradley Player suspended for a game, "FOR TWEETING"
That would not help future Recruiting.

That would open a pandora box and I'd bet that there are a lot worse stuff that these kids are tweeting then what TB did. I really do not understand all those tweets. What happened to keeping your business private? A generation influenced by Paris Hilton and Britney Spears is frightening.

yea. to each his own. some people think it is silly and wasted time to post and read stuff on message boards like this, when you can be doing something more productive.

ONE poster asked if legal action could be taken and ONE guy has thrown out the sexual harrasment talk. The MAJORITY of posters on the other board are simply having an open dialouge discussing the posible scenario's.

I will admit many aren't happy but when you embarass the University many of these fine fans love and support it will generate some strong feelings.

And there is NO WAY the BU admins are happy with all that has transpired. NO POSSIBLE WAY they want a player representing BU acting like this.

The person I spoke with did indicate apologies were given and HOPEFULLY this is over and everyone will move on.

Lets HOPE this is the end to it all and that TB doesn't get suspended a 4th time...

Agree 100%. The action taken by Bradley (whoever it was) to suspend Taylor Brown was much needed, well deserved, and hopefully the end to this.

Many posters on here and other forums simply wanted to see the team or University take action on this. Many hoped they would sweep it under the rug. Thankfully, BU did not do that.

Bradley should be more strict with its players. They should be held to a higher standard.

To me, this matter is over. Time is served. Hopefully lesson learned.

B4L, it is not going to get out of control...settle down....
or have you NOT noticed that this happens at every other schoool, and ONLY at BU is it getting penalized!!

In fact, one potential NBA draft pick currently playing in the Valley not only tweets from class, but he also posts VIDEO from class showing the female classmates!!! (and there are many others....I can give ample examples)
"Class is boring http://twitvid.com/37972 "
http://twitter.com/Osiris_Eldridge/status/3892272671

http://www.twitvid.com/37972

and how about Kellen Thornton, who posted this tweet from class with a picture...
"I thought only ****** (racial epithet) fell asleep in class an he snorin loud... This class boring as that thang.. "
http://twitter.com/kelzboog21/status/5834998520
http://img70.yfrog.com/i/m05.jpg/

Thornton also posts tons of terribly offensive tweets with racial slurs and obscenities, then this...
"Bored as hell def shouldn't have went to class.. Smh"
http://twitter.com/kelzboog21/status/8910715283

and...from just late last night...(midnite)
"Now drunk as f**k-- yea me too lol
about 11 hours ago from Twitterrific"

Why does a "PRO" Bradley board have to attack other schools? Is it to make BU fans feel better?

I am worried about Bradley. Not other Valley schools.

Come on, this board should be better than this!

I don't think there is any issue between TB and the coach. I think it's 99%+ he'll be back. Where would he go? He used up his redshirt season in juco, and would lose a full year transferring to another D1 school. He's too good for lower divisions. He will grow up and become a vital part of the team next year that will be as good as any team in the Valley.

Coach I hope you are right on all counts, but I have my doubts he will be back. One thing for sure, he is to good for lower divisions.

Well said...time to move on and hope/pray there isn't a 4th time ahead...ever.

What you said makes no sense. Since he is too good for lower division the only move would be to a BCS school. Why would a BCS team take him on for only one season? The BCS schools are not prone in taking a player for one year unless they are superstars. I like TB's game but he is not a John Wall caliber player. Chances are good that his folks will influence him to clean up his act and show him that playing at BU is in fact his best option going forward.

If he wants to go though, oh well. Bye, bye! BU's basketballl program is not about one guy, never has, never will. The closest guy to being about one guy was HH and TB is no HH or even in his league.

I really think that BU knows how much TB means to this program. They will do everything to make sure he suits up next year. Sometimes it is about winning.

i agree. how much time you spend digging up dirt on other schools? other schools standards and problems should have nothing to do with us.let us just be concerned about bu.is this some kinda attempt to make bu look better by comparison? if it is.that is like little kid stuff.

I like my privacy a bit to much....but thats just me.

I have a Facebook account, but I rarely use it. I certainly don't post many photos and my "life story" on there either. Just an occasional message or two that are not to intrusive towards my privacy.

I see what some friends of mine post on Facebook though and I have to shake my head sometimes! Yes, I can't see myself posting 90% of what some people post on there.

The fact that he twittered some inane, juvenile nonsense is secondary to whether or not his behavior this year indicates that he is a "cancer in the locker room" ... as they say about "me-first" athletes in Dallas.

I don't care about Taylor's tweeting business, all I care about is the team taking appropriate action this summer if Taylor is not going to clean up his act. 3 suspensions for 4 games in his first full year of starting. How is he going to last another 2 years? I would much rather free up a scholarship for a team oriented person than a me first player that acts up. 1 more suspension and I think it's time for him to head back home to ATL.

Jason

Agree. If there's a four show him the door.

What is the "TEAM" record for games that he has been suspended? At least 2-2, maybe 3-1. The BYU game was a loss with or without him, so he wasn't missed that game. Some players have good stats ... but at the expense of their teammates like a Tracy McGrady. Other players, like LeBron or MJ bring out a higher level of performance in their team mates. There is no doubt that TB is a good, individual basketball player. TB still has the option for what path he wants to take ... but for how much longer before the path is chosen for him.

there is no attack, you are incorrect...in fact I never mention the name of any other school...

do you think the Taylor Brown thing is not being discussed on other teams' boards??
not only is it being discussed, there are all kinds of horrid attacks and insults...but not so, here...just facts and examples....
you are free to check them out or you can ignore them.....I don't criticize you for what you think or post, but I guess we differ there...
but all I did was demonstrate this is going on elsewhere and is NOT being acknowledged at all let alone penalized...
so I think Bradley is the only responsible one in this mix...
..and this IS widely acknowledged to be the best board...did you ever wonder why all the folks from the other teams come here to read and post???
