Here is a picture of one of the "hostesses" with a prospective recruit-

And here is the stable, I mean the entire "Orange Pride"-

One "Orange Pride" member hostess proudly proclaims on her MySpace page that, "I recruit champions, you can thank me later".

The use of hostesses for entertaining prospective recruits on-campus is nothing new. Here is a Sports Illustrated article from over 20 years ago about it. And it has been reported that the practice was started by Bear Bryant at Alabama in the early 1960s.-

But the NCAA is interested in investigating the Tennessee situation because the Tennessee hostesses went off-campus to the high school games of the recruits, even during periods when off-campus reruiting was off limits. If they did this entirely on their own, which they will likely claim, then it may not be a violation. But if it was a coordinated activity run by the football coaches, which it sure was, then it constitutes NCAA violations for illegal recruiting.
This is ironic, because Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin has been so outspoken in his direct accusations of cheating by Urban Meyer and other SEC coaches.

Why do you think the NCAA is going after Kiffen. They know he will be able to dance around this but they are shooting a warning shot over his bow. NCAA to Kiffen, "Shut up or we'll find a way to hammer you." There are unwritten rules that he needs to play by.

Kiffen is a relatively newbie, and has said many things that have already made him quite unpopular among not only other SEC coaches, but among many others in NCAA football.

Even tho he enjoys the benefits of being at a BCS institution, he is not likely to get the pass that many other BCS coaches get when they commit violations.

NCAA will hammer Kiffin 20 times in the same interval that they'd ever go after USC's head coach Pete Carroll
