I thought the refs were bad both ways. the intentional foul call was bad, but in the end it didn't lose us the game. he made both of his free throws, they retained possession, got fouled, and missed those free throws.
I dont get why Singh was playing so much in the second half. He had a bad night. I like Sam as a player, and normally he plays much better, but he just didnt' have one of his best nights. DC played poorly in the first half, but was more fired up in the second half, i wish he had gotten some of those minutes.
We have offensive deficiencies. that will continue to haunt us. Its very difficult to play spectacular lock-down defense for a full 40. Unfortunately, two of our best offensive weapons are not available to us, but we have to play through that. I think this team is overachieving considering our talent (not knocking our talent, but let's face it, we're thin inside and young outside) and sometimes we will get exposed.
the players played their hearts out. Credit to them. We knew going in, it would be a tough game. Second-chance points and timely turnovers hurt us.
Please, don't blame the officials on this one. If you want to blame the refs, dig out the UIC tape from last year. I still cringe to remember that. But this game was decided when we lost our offensive "mojo". We play defense like this the rest of the year and we're still looking at a good finish.
