The incoming, new players...

Everyone needs to give Austin a chance to spend time with his family and friends before coming to Peoria; if the coaching staff is ok with him doing this then so should we as I believe he can really help this team; lets not get caught up in saying things about him not being here and worry more about how the Atlanta Braves can catch the NewYork Mets in baseball.

I dont have to give him anything, as I said in my post he has the right to do whatever he wants. I also have the right to be concerned about him missing the time with his teammates and how it will impact his play this year. I also am concerned about him being homesick, but thats just my concern. I am pulling for him!!!!!

Fixed.

How in tarnation can Austin be compared to Jeremy Fears?
Jeremy did come and stayed a year at BU, the 3rd college he'd committed to, and then screwed up and was booted.
Austin hasn't come yet but has committed to only one school and says he is still coming, and he has never backed out of a committment to my knowledge.
Not one shread of similarity.
Worry if you want, it won't make him get here faster.

How in tarnation can Austin be compared to Jeremy Fears?.....the only comparison is that Fears is a kid that really had no place else to go because....he had signed an LOI, just as you pointed out Austin has. Fears had sat around for months waiting to play and you would never have thought he would never play a minute for BU. Thats the comparison and it was in reply to the point in an earlier post about ...where could he go.

This is a board where you post comments and thoughts about BU basketball......I posted my concerns and if there not your concerns so be it.......

As a life time Bradley basketball fan I hope he gets to Peoria, enjoys being part of the Bradley family and I will be pulling for him all the way. I think he will be a big part of Bradleys run at the top of the MVC this year, in every post about starting five I has him in there.

As stated earlier I have no issue with him wanting to spend time with his family, he has the right to do whatever makes him happy. I have lived outside the US now for over nine years and understand the importance of getting time with your family when you can get it.

To get on to a better subject here is my 2007 starting five....

Well, after hearing how WE can handle the rock... how about

6'9" Egolf (at point guard)
6'7" Matt Salley (big guard/shooting guard)
6'7" Austin (power forward - 240 lbs)
6'9" Sammy Singh (bigger power forward - 266 lbs)
7'0" Collins (Center)

I like that line-up Mac  Is this the John Cheney line-up, or Coach K line-up?

Just for the record, Fears never signed any LOI coming to BU, he was a transfer.
The only LOI he would have signed would have been to Ohio.
And I understand how much better we'd all feel if he were on campus, but I also see cause that he is not.

ChitownBub, you win, your right, Im wrong, I apologize for having a concern and posting it!!! So now that you have won the battle whats your starting five?

Knowing T, I am sure he will when we get closer to the season getting started. Hey we had the same starting five other than I had Austin and you had Warren.......

I have not seen any of the new players yet but have seen some of the scouting reports so my guess right now for starters would be Ruffin, Crouch, Warren, Collins and Austin which is subject to change after I see the red-white scrimmage as Cole-Scott should probably be in there ; nice problem to have with Maniscalco , Egolf, Salley, Singh, Thompson, Wilson to help off the bench.
