The talent thread

I myself still don't feel we have 10th place talent...I even will go so far as to say that without Taylor and Sam, I still feel as though we should be good enough to finish top 6...

Does anyone see that as a fair assessment?

Yes, I still thought we could finish at least 6th.

While I agree with just about all you said, I myself still don't feel we have 10th place talent...I even will go so far as to say that without Taylor and Sam, I still feel as though we should be good enough to finish top 6...

I don't now, initially at the start of the conference season I did. But after watching the start of the conference and witnessing the missed open layups, missed open jump shots, and turnovers...I slowly began to realize that we just don't have it this season...wait til next season, they look to be getting better and will be getting help :)

I can not and will not bring myself to using Cubs terminology

FINALLY! Yes thank you!

Can I follow up?

Yes I think we have better than tenth talent....and I answered the question...why not in top 6 or 7:

1. time needed to put pieces together after losing TB and SM suddenly...
2. Jake's ankle...DSE knee...now DD's knee...he was no where near full strength last night...
3. Pross's emergense and Walts gives us a late surge..

You start the season over from here and I think you see a whole different finish....but its past now...finish strong and get ready for next season....

SM
DSE
TB
WE
JP

I know I love koolaide...but that is a nice looking lineup and WL, RA,JE, SH and DS will fight for minutes or starting too...

Les had Maniscalco, Brown, and Warren last year and he managed an underwhelming 16-15 result with those 3 all conference caliber players. Does he get 'pass' for that season too? How many 'passes' does a guy get before it's finally time to turn the page?

Apparently he is working off a "Sweet 16" number of 'passes'..

... Does he get 'pass' for that season too? ...

where has he ever gotten a "pass"?? He didn't even get one for the Sweet Sixteen season -- or don't you recall -- immediately after that season ended a certain PJS writer ripped into that concept and said it has to be every year...

And he certainly didn't get a "pass" for last year's 16-15, instead he was strongly and frequently criticized by both the press and the fans.
