TOCC starts tonight....

Also can see growth in his body once he hits BU and Ronnie Wright gets a hold of him...big lower body and can easily gain size and strength!

It was great to meet some of the fellow posters at the game tonight.

I was surprised that EP came out so hot, I had not heard good things about their bball program (6 wins last year). Just as everyone else has said, JP definitely was covered by 2-3 people whole game and did force a few shots, but otherwise looked. I really like his midrange game, he seems to have a nice jumpshot. He would be a wonderful compliment at the 4 with his ability to stretch the defense...and create a mismatch in MVC play, but needs some improvement with his footwork and positioning to be an effective 5.

indeed Prosser was the whole team, he didn't get much help except in the ball handling area.
If anyone on Eureka could have hit an outside shot, then East Peoria would have had to come out and guard and Jordan would have had 50 points.

He is very athletic, can leap, is the quickest to any rebound or loose ball, and ......
HE stays out of foul trouble!!
I like JP and he's going to be good.

In the other games, Delavan lost to Culver but both teams played worse than I suspect they are capable. Culver is about the same size as Delavan but it's more like a prep school that recuits kids to play basketball.
Delavan's best player, Brady Zimmer left in the 1st half with just 2 pts after an injury.

In the 2nd game Limestone beat Summit (MO). The Summit team had 2 DI kids.....
one was a 6-10 senior but he wasn't very mobile and wasn't a scoring threat from more than an inch away from the basket.
His name is Will Clark and he's verballed to Texas Southern...but scout.com says Illinois State was after him.

The other kid, a 6-7 junior named Kevin Dwyer, reminded me of Trevor Trimpe & had 20 pts on 8-15 and 6 rebs.
athletic, could handle the ball, shot from outside, drove and created shots, and was clearly their best player overall.

Limestone was just quicker and more athletic and their trio of Donivine Stewart, Demarius Summrell, and Marquis Lobdell, gave them 3 good scoring options.

It was very nice to meet some of the posters last night. I agree with Big Mike that Ronnie Wright can add 15-20 pounds to Prosser with no problem. Once that happens and add a little Division 1 experience, watch out MVC! To a degree I am surprised that more Big Ten teams didnt go after JP... --But I am glad that they didnt! :)

JP reminds me a little of Will Egolf. I like WE's upside, but from what I have seen of both players, JP has the potential to be better than WE. (not meant to be a knock on Will) As P'town stated, JP has a nice mid-range game and I like his shot as well. Now more than ever, I am looking forward to seeing JP on the Hilltop.
