I talked briefly with Tony Bennett at the Dec. 22 home game against VCU. He was averaging 37.2 points per game for his team Kaarinan Ura in the Finnish 1st Division, and he said he was hopeful of getting a better offer to play at a higher level.

It looks like that offer has come. Tony is no longer listed with Kaarinan Ura, and his name has been removed from the top of the scoring list for the Division 1 league.

Tony is now listed as being a member of Porvoon Tarmo of the Korisliiga of Finland. The Korisliiga is the highest pro league in Finland, and Porvoon Tarmo is currently in 6th place with a record of 11-14.
Congratulations Tony!--

That's awesome for Tony, hopefully he continues to play well and catches on with a team in an even better league in Europe.

Due to the respect of confidentiality to the players, i will not say where i saw this, but it appears that lawrence wright wants out from his team, the same team that booted zach andrews.

Tony is back in Finland and played his first game for his new team tonight (Friday 1/19). Tony tied for his team's leading scorer with 16 points in his first game, but his team lost to one of the top teams in the league.

Tony played his second game for his new team Tarmo, and he was the game's leading scorer with 32 points as his team won. He also had 7 assists and 7 steals. He is averaging 24 points per game after 2 games.
