I was at this game, it was actually pretty amazing.
It was tied at 30 after the first quarter, then Chicago outscored Peoria 27-3 in the second quarter for a 57-30 halftime lead. Bennett had 13 at the half, seemed like in the second half his team sort of just watched him as he went for 25.
Bennett was unstoppable though. He was about the only person on the court playing defense for a good chunk of the game and he could create his own shot way better than anyone else. I wish he was on the Peoria team, I hate to say it Serg, but I think more people would show up for former Braves than former Central and Manual high schoolers. I wanted to see a lot more of Gilbert.
Serg is out of shape bigtime. Only goes for about 4 or 5 minutes at a time, and of those, seemed like only 2-3 before he was dead. I hope he improves, because he is one of my alltime favorite players (Remember I went to U of I).
Anyhow, I was very pleasantly surprised with the Kings game, I know they've been ripped on on this board before, but it was a good game and a great comeback.
