based on MVC scoring:
SIX of the top 15 scorers in the MVC (40%)
And roughly 60% of the top 35-40 scorers
....are transfers into the MVC having started their college careers somewhere else
----- 12.5 - Custer, Clayton - LU SR TRANSFER
----- 12.5 - Smits, Derrick - VU JR
----- 11.0 - Cook, Aaron - SIU SR
----- 10.9 - Pippen, Kavion - SIU SR JUCO TRANSFER
----- 10.9 - Feehan, Shea -- UE SR TRANSFER
----- 10.8 - McGill, Eric - SIU SR
----- 10.7 - Hill, Marty - UE SR
----- 10.5 - Hall, John - UE SO
----- 10.5 - Lloyd, Sean - SIU SR
----- 10.5 - Golder, Markus - VU JR JUCO TRANSFER
----- 10.4 - Williams, Christian - InSU JR TRANSFER
----- 10.2 - Freeman, Javon - VU FR
----- 10.1 - Copeland, Zach - ISU JR TRANSFER
----- 9.4 - Murphy, Tremell - DU JR JUCO TRANSFER
----- 9.4 - Jefferson, Josh - ISU JR JUCO TRANSFER
----- 9.2 - Evelyn, Bakari - VU JR TRANSFER
----- 8.5 - Berhow, Trae - UNI SO TRANSFER
----- 7.9 - Lavender, Deion - VU SR TRANSFER
ALSO - (some numbers are overall scoring)
----- 14.0 - Norton, Nick - DU SR TRANSFER - would be on the list except injury
----- 12.7 - Fazekas, Ryan - VU - JR TRANSFER would be on the list except injury
..not to mention that a lot of other key players like Chastain, Tinsley, Uguak, Neese, Mohammed, Webster, Ridder, Wentzien, Goldman, and Bartley are also transfers but fall under 8 ppg & just outside this listing...
and roughly HALF of all the statistical leaders in all the other categories (rebounds, shooting pct, assists, etc.) are transfers, too
Is this the trend? Is the MVC becoming a league of transfers - almost every MVC team also has one or more transfers currently sitting out.
ISU has 3 of them, Missouri State has two, & Evansville, Indiana State...
