Travel to Charlottesville

No. That will not happen. If you want to go there, you are 100% on your own. Good luck. There is no easy way to get there from Peoria.

I will not be driving it on my own, but I have many times. There is a route that is quicker than what Mapquest gives you. If anyone is interested PM me.

You could take the great American railway. . .there is an Amtrak train available that leaves B-N at 3 for Indy, and then goes straight from Indy to Charlottesville at approximately midnight. Although their is limited seating available on the latter. You would arrive at approximately 2:47 PM. In Amtrak time, that's about 5.
 
The cost of flights from local airports is going up by the hour ($5-600) range into Dulles. They were more reasonable into Balt-Wash (250-400) but it is a farther and much harder drive. Dulles is about 90 min. to Charlottesville B-W is about 2.5 hrs. Share a Pricelined hotel and car with buddies and you might be able to make it reasonable.
