Tyler Les

Well I was about to post this and then right when I clicked post the thread must of got deleted lol, so I'll start a new one. It looked like the last one got a little off topic;-).

I thought the article made it sound like he still hadn't decided. He wants to earn his own scholarships, but then he still might choose BU, he just wants to see what he can get on his own and I like that in a kid. Jim said he'd love to have him, so I don't think anything is for sure, we will just have to wait and see like everything else.

I would really like Tyler Les to play at Bradley, it is the same thing I said about Matt Roth, in college basketball you can always use another shooter. Plus we could basically get him for free. While some debate on how good he is, one thing we know for sure is he can shoot.

Some suggest visiting the schools message board affects kids decisions, so if Tyler is reading this, I for one would love to have you and hope you choose BU!

Here is the articles link again:

The other thread got deleted because several posts were off topic.

But I agree with you that I and most fans would like to see Tyler at Bradley. And as far as I have heard, despite the way it sounds in that article, he is still undecided and probably won't make a final decision until after the season.

An MVC team has been in close contact (not BU).

I certainly hope that doesn't happen for sure, Jim can't let him go to another conference team. Imagine all the insight that team would have playing BU. I would hate to see him hitting 3's against us.

I would welcome Tyler on the Braves in a heartbeat....remember JL didn't get an olffer from BU either out of HS and it turned out pretty good after he ended up here! Plus Tyler doesn't take up a ride with JL being employed at BU !

Tyler has grown. I haven't seen the kid in a few years. Didn't know he got to 6'2" (Is it a legit 6'2"?). At that size, I would think his stats and pedigree would have some DI's on him, which it sounds like there are. I can understand why he wouldn't want to start off under his dad. But in an ideal world, he can pull a Kevin Kruger and graduate in 4, and play for his dad without sitting out in year 5. Kevin Kruger played 4 years at Arizona State, graduated, and played a 5th year for his dad at UNLV and went to the Sweet 16. What a story that would be!

I thought the NCAA wanted to close that odd academic transfer loophole that benefited Kruger. It was something about instantly transfering if your current school did not have the major (or masters?) you wanted.

I would think this to be a tough situation for the Les'.

If the program was humming along it would be a no brainer, giving TL a scholly or not, for him to join his dad at BU. With the program seemingly stuck in neutral, his addition to BU, particularly with a scholly, would be scrutinized and every decision involving his playing, and his results, focused on by fans and media. I wouldn't want that for my kid.

Joining your Dad, in a business where coaching changes can occur, also adds to the difficulty of a decision.

Perhaps TL joins a JC for a year, establishes credentials, lets BU program rise, and then joins dad at BU for rest of career one possibility.

I have to agree with your statement. It's probably best for all involved if he took a scholarship to a different (non MVC) school. I haven't seen him play, but I have read far different evaluations of him than what I've read on this board.

On a worst case scenario: TL goes to BU; BU gets worse and changes coaches; TL transfers. That would be uncomfortable for a lot of people but not that devastating in the end. It's probably a medium-risk situation. A coaching change can happen at any school though.

Saw Tyler last night....looks like a legit 6'2"...but I was up a few rows....he sure can shoot the ball...reminds me of a Zobrist that played at BU a few years back....
