UNI got a verbal commitment today from 6'2" 2011 shooting guard Matt Bohannon of Linn-Mar High School in Iowa. He also considered Creighton

Good stuff guys. Bohannon is a great shooter, who really has a better body than both of his older brothers (Jason-Wisconsin, Zach-Air Force) at similar stages. The nice thing about this commit, in addition to Matt being a great shooter and tough competitor, is that this is the first Linn-Mar HS pickup for UNI that I can remember. This program has put guys like the previous Bohannon brothers, Grant Gibbs (Gonzaga, now Creighton), Nate Hutcheson (W.Michigan), Jordan Printy (Indiana State), and current top 30 player nationally in 2012 class Marcus Paige...all within the last 5 years. It would be a great pipeline to get started in-state if that were to happen. Anyway, UNI now has 4 down and 1 scholarship to go. It seems they are targeting a forward with this last scholy, but a PG is never out of the picture.

this is an older thread but Jehvon Lyle who's at UNI has decided to leave and transfer elsewhere -- he's already redshirted and supposedly just isn't going to be getting playing opportunity there - so he's looking elsewhere

but this has started some rumors that UNI is getting a transfer
