I have read the posts on possible recruits. I think the signing period begins April 12.

That is easy enough, but it leaves out an awful lot of information.

Our scholarship grid (which takes a lot more time to maintain and change) is much more accurate and informative the way it is designed, in my opinion. It would actually be far easier to arrange it simply by class, like the one above. But if that was the case, I don't think it would be as clear who is on scholarship, who is a walkon, who is a redshirt, how many years they have been on scholarship, which year they redshirted, when they arrived at Bradley, whether they are transfers, jucos, or 4-year recruits, if they are departing early, if a player's scholarship opens in mid season (like with Jojo), who are the incoming commitments over the next couple years, and other factors.

I like the scholarship grid the way it is now. It agree with Da Coach, it is much more informative and I personally think it is very easy to follow.

They do a pretty good job, but I find theirs confusing, hard to follow unless you keep checking with their color code key and legend, and it has errors, leaves information out, and is not updated regularly (i.e. still shows Jojo as a senior, and still shows Barker & Stipanovich).
It is a better tool for following the names of recruits than for the players already enrolled.

Yes and no.

I'm not saying I don't like the current setup, it's great and I agree it contains lots of useful info. I simply mean using the same format, but ordering it from seniors down to freshman. Leaving the walk-ons at the very bottom. To me, that would just make it easier to see how many open scholarships are coming up.

Just a suggestion, but like I said, the current set up is great, just a tad out of order for my taste.
 
The grid is a simple Microsoft Excel XLS spread sheet. This may sound confusing, but if I tried to rearrange it like you are saying, it would involve a great deal more work whenever someone left school, took a redshirt year, or if someone arrived who didn't start as a freshman and stay here all 4 years and proceed a grade ahead each year. I'd have to erase most of the grid and move every name up or down to constantly keep it in that order. Plus at the end of each season, I'd have to remove the seniors, move every name up one grade category, then add the new freshmen. Maybe there are shortcuts I am not aware of because I have never worked with Microsoft Excel for anything else in my life. But, hey, I can barely type, so I have to try to keep it simple.
