well, I certainly think there need to be rules to protect the athletes and the schools - BUT... having the federal givernment step in
and start regulating it scares me. Just about everything the government EVER DOES, eventually turns into a cash grab where THEY
start taxing and fining everyone then the corruption starts when there's money flowing.
Just check Medicare, various other social benefits, the VA system, all the welfare fraud in Minnesita & LA, etc....
The taxpayers are going under with overregulation and fraud.
We also have a lot of that locally, and nobody ever seems to be held accountable..

The House needs to pass this to as it is the best plan to save college sports. The only ones that decide to vote against this are obviously not real fans of the game. Everybody by now should understand that college sports cannot survive with the way it has n

when you say "can't survive" , what do you mean? There's some truth to it but for the most part, college sports are more popular than ever.

I think we need to go back to a system where amateurism is the central concept in college sports (as it once was and still is in high school ball)
If they want to get paid, let them turn pro - there's plenty of pro opportunities out there.
