after the game. LOL

Jason

And don't forget to add in all of us fans who listened and/or watched from around the world. Mucho misery! :(

Sorry...I think the 9 should have been a 6....even THAT might be a bit generous.

Which would beg the question......are 33% of the fans ALREADY fed up enough to not show up to the games? So much for nobody "jumping ship".
Were the Bears playing last night?

Hmmmm....

Wow.

Maybe all those Corporate tickets bought and paid for don't have people filling the seats?

Hmmmmm...

Makes me wonder.

It's all about Marketing. And it's all about advertising and the Corporate Sponsorship. You know - getting the "Real Fans" to the game.

We've got tickets sold but not enough butts in the seats?

Fair-weather fans?

Fans?

Oh... but EVERYONE is a REAL FAN. How dare anyone to question anyone's "fandom"? ;)

It was a freezing rain storm last night in Iowa. Alot of people stayed home to watch it on tv, b/c of the icy conditions. Even walking up the walkway to the McLeod Center was difficult due to the ice. Highway 20 was deemed 'traffic inadvisable' (the main 4 lane highway that comes to CF from east/west). It really sucks that for two of the bigger non-conference home games of the season we have 14 inches of snow (against Iowa) and then a sweet ice storm (Wyoming) that was being billed as the next big winter snow storm. Hopefully, there won't be major storms coming through on game nights the rest of the year. This team is too fun to watch to stay at home.

check the pics on the web site, several show prime seats in the first few rows of the lower bowl empty..
I choose to believe my eyes rather than a self-promotional press release...

I was actually at the game. Sat at half court in the lower bowl. At halftime I went and talked to some friends that were sitting in the upper bowl row 13. ( I want to say the upper bowl has 18-20 rows) There were people in rows behind them as well.
We can both believe what our eyes tell us.

You can't possibly get an accurate indication of the crowd in a 10,000+ seat arena by looking at a small block of seats behind the benches! Those pics could've been taken before the seats were filled, or maybe the people sittng there were in the john when the pic was snapped who knows? Those seats behind the benches are reserved for corporations, or player guests who don't always show up. I've also seen pictures where the "prime" seats you mentioned were full yet the overall crowd was small. Taking one little sample does not reflect the crowd as a whole. You can take a pic of a lower bowl section at a Women's game and the place will look packed...when really there's only 2K there or less.

The given attendance figure of 7,408 was accurate. I was there. Were you? And I choose to believe my eyes and what I saw in person as well, and yes, it was the largest crowd we've had all season, which is no surprise cuz it's the 1st opponent we've had at home that people cared about lol.

Agreed. Also, tomorrow's game will probably be our first home opponent that people care about as well. I'm looking for a big crowd at Carver tomorrow night. At least I hope there aren't 3,000+ people with tickets that just decide not to show up.
