Troy Hudson - had hip surgery last January but did not return and was cut by the warriors before the end of the season. He is presently not playing.

POB has played in only 9 of Boston's 26 games so far. In those games he is averaging 4.6 minutes, 1.8 points, and 1.4 rebounds. Ouch. I'd still rather have his checkbook than mine!

It's reported that the Celtics are interested in signing 42 year old Dikembe Mutombo as a backup center. If they do, there is a chance they will cut POB. Let's hope they don't, but he would get paid for the entire season even if cut.

He was recruited and played his first year here under former BU caoch Jim Molinari, then Bradley hired Jim Les. Different coach=unable to get along, and didn't want to follow the different rules and expectations.
Then one of Bradley's former assistants , who had taken a job as an assistant at New Mexico, called Granger dozens of times and enticed him to transfer at midyear to New Mexico. He saw a way out of the situation at Bradley, and the rest is history.
BTW, New Mexico was found guilty of tampering, but received a negligible punishment.

Granger was just on the SVP Show (Scott Van Pelt)... didn't hear much of the interview but he was talking him up pretty good after the interview... i am sure it is podcasts somewhere on ESPNRadio.com.

I believe Grainger has been seen at some Bradley functions/games (and talking with some former BU teammates) in the past few years since he entered the NBA, so I think most of the "bad blood" really only exists among the fans or with a former assistant coach...

To my knowledge, this only happened once. Danny Granger attended a Red-White scrimmage game in 2006, not at the invitation of any of the coaches or admins at Bradley, but at the invitation of some of Bradley's former players like Marcello Robinson who were there. He shook Jim Les' hand but didn't talk with many others at Bradley, and as far as I know, has had no contact with anyone at BU since then.

So Granger wasn't at the Coach Stowell 80th birthday alumni game in '07?

Yes, he was. I wasn't at that event, but I just checked with someone who was, and he confirmed that Danny Granger was there as a spectator, and not as a player. I am not sure he was even one of the BU alumni invited to the 6/3/07 event, but he was there with his girlfriend to watch.

it's pretty crazy...

it's pretty crazy...

that since the original post in this thread that Danny Granger's avg. has gone from 23.9 to 26.2.

dude is finally getting to the line.

I saw him playing houston tonight...he's really good at basketball

if his team was a little better who would be considered better in the east beside lebron and wade...

as a portlander i really love watching brandon roy but granger is surely fun to watch
