Valley Predictions - Order of Finish

Here is where I think things will shake out this season:

1. Creighton - they are about 2 notches above any other team
2. UNI - deepest team in the league, and aren't weak at any single position
3. Illinois St - this is a senior-laden team, and probably their last shot at being in the top half for a few years
4. Evansville - maybe I'm wearing my Colt Ryan goggles, but he can take them a long way
5. Wichita St - losing their top 5 scorers will be significant, but they have pretty good talent to replace those losses
6. Drake - Rice is a loss, but he wasn't a good teammate and this may be one of those "addition by subtraction" scenarios
7. Indiana St - I have trouble believing Jake Odum will allow them to place much below 7th
8. Bradley - hey, it's 2 spots better than the past 2 years!
9. Missouri St - they lost more than anybody other than WSU, but they don't have as good of a recruiting class
10. SIU - not much to like about this SIU team...

How do you rank the order of finish in the Valley?

last year had you said there are only going to be ONLY two Valley teams above .500, very few people would have agreed..

BUT -- I think we will see a similar thing this year ..
Creighton will be well above .500 and finish first but they won't be 18-0.
I think UNI & ISU will be above .500 but only because of the plethora or weak teams that'll give them some wins...
Then everyone else will be at or under .500,,,,,

I'd like to be optimistic, but the 2 teams you rated lower than BU both beat us twice last year. I hope I am proven wrong, but I can't see us moving up much.

What you've come up with seems reasonable to me. I don't know what place Bradley will finish, but I think that 6-12 is about where they'll end up.

While ISU-red plays a much tougher non-conf. schedule, UNI's extremely tough non-conf. schedule will pay dividends in prepping them for Valley play.

I'm going to predict the records for each team too - Here goes!

1) 14-4 Creighton (losses @ UNI, Evansville, Drake)
2) 12-6 UNI
3) 11-7 ISU - red
4) 10-8 Evansville
5) 10-8 Wichita St.
6) 9-9 Drake
7) 7-11 Missouri St.
8 ) 7-11 Indy St.
9) 6-12 BRADLEY
10) 4-14 SIU

Creighton
UNI
ISU R
Wichita St.
Evansville
ISU B
Bradley
Missouri St.
Drake
SIU

Maybe wishful thinking putting us 7th, but I think we have a shot. This team looks a lot better with Will and Pickett in there, they just gotta stay out of foul trouble..
