Indiana State is a book-it for Thursday. Wichita State and Missouri State have a big hole to climb out of. Evansville is who they are...decent at home...terrible on the road. They're the leading candidate for team #4 on Thursday. Drake is tanking lately, and is waiting in the wings for a Thursday ticket if one of the others really steps it up. SIU has turned it around, and is BU's most likely opponent in what will most likely be the 4/5 game in St. Louis. Our hopes of finishing in the top 3 lie with isu (red) continuing to have big problems on the road and/or UNI collapsing the 2nd half of the conference season just like they have multiple times over the past few seasons.
 
I know we havent played drake and evansville yet but I think the only team we have a small chance to beat in STL is Creighton. Right now I really dont care what seed we are as long as we are on the other side of the bracket from Creighton.

Personally I would like to see this (after the Thursday games)

1. Northern Iowa
8. play in winner

4.Bradley
5.Drake

2. isu
7. play in winner

3. Creghton
6. Southern Illinios

creighton then would have to go through SIU and ISU to get to the championship.

If we lose somehow, isu loses to SIU (definitely possible) and Drake beats Creighton:

How do you figure we have no shot at the top 3? We are still tied for second now, and I don't think first place is out of the question yet either. At the very least, if we play as well as we did tonight, I think wins at Drake and Evansville are very possible, and maybe we can score an upset at Creighton and/or illinois st.

Maybe I'm drinking the Kool Aid here, but we are capable of winning a lot of games. Let's just take care of Indiana St and Wichita St this upcoming week and take it from there. :)

I didn't mean to imply that we have no chance to finish in the top 3. However, we have already played isu and CU at home, and still have to go to both those places. I'm not counting on winning either of those games, so my post above was basically assuming we lose both those road games. Win at either isu or CU, and then yes, we have as good a chance as anyone does of finishing 2nd, and maybe even 1st if UNI stumbles down the stretch.
 
I think BU wins its remaining home games in the MVC, gets a win at Evansville, and loses at Ill. State, Creighton, and Drake. Finishes at 12-6. We all would've been ecstatic with this a month ago, and I still think its better than expected.

After Egolf went down, I'd say anything over .500 is better than expected. This team is going to be really good for at least the next few years! The minutes our freshmen guards are getting will pay off big. I only wish TB was getting more than 10 minutes/game in conference play, but it's already clear he can be something special for the next three years.

I'm not so sure we lose @Drake.... this team has not been playing well. I just wish we could play them now and not have them so late in our schedule.
