Ville in walking boot.....

According to Dave Eminian Ville was in a walking boot today after getting hurt in practice and is expected to return during non- conference schedule. :(

Two comments.......
1. Can we ever start out a season without an injury and having a full roster?
2. From what I know without seeing the new guys a lot of the success to the upcoming season rides with Ville overcoming a poor sophomore campaign in giving the Braves a consistent 3 point presence. This injury is not a good start, let's hope this is not a huge setback to the season for Ville for he is needed. ;-)

I wonder which player may be stepping up into Ville's lineup spot until his return to playing.

If Ville is out long enough to miss games, the other guards who will see more playing time include Terry Roberts (assuming Mikey Howell is a starter), Jayson Kent, and possibly the freshmen Zek Montgomery, and Connor Hickman, both of whom I've heard have played well in practices. Less likely would be Max Ekono.

According to Eminian, Ville says he will be out 5-6 weeks with foot injury. :-o Ouch that really hurts!

To be out 5-6 weeks means he has more than a strain or sprain.

5-6 weeks means Ville could be back and ready to go for the Paradise Jam games (Nov. 19-22), meaning he would miss the opening 3 games against South Dakota State, Howard, and Missouri S&T.

After the red/white last night, my hope is Kent might be the guy to replace Ville on the 3 pt shooting. The only other player to pump them in was Mast.

This needs to be a breakout season for Kent or I fear we might lose him after the season. I'm with you Big Mike, I think (hope) Kent is going to step up his game significantly this year.

I agree. I just want to see him get a bit more aggressive and not hesitate to take open shots. He did pretty well in that regard last night, but as a freshman, he didn't. I also liked seeing him battle inside a little last night.
