They have games against the Estonia National team today (Juy 29) and tomorrow (July 30).
In Wednesday's game, Ville scored 6 points in 16 minutes of play as Finland beat Estonia 97-76, He also had 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

After Thursday's game, the team does not play again until November 27, 2020, so it looks like these 2 games today & tomorrow are the only 2 Ville will play this year with the team.

Still no stats posted for today's game, but here is a full game video of Wednesday's game. Ville is #17 in the white uniform. He doesn't start but plays a lot in the 2nd half after Finland has a large lead.

Most of the players for Finland are professionals, many of then in their late 20's and 30's. So for a kid who has only played 1 year of college basketball to make the team and get significant playing time is an accomplishment for Ville. He is one of the youngest players eligible to play for Finland. Here is the roster with dates of birth-

Well, we certainly know the kid can shoot! I can't wait to see the improvements he's made since last year. If he gets better as a shooter, I don't know how the conference will hold this kid back!

Dave Reynolds has a good article about Ville Tahvanainen. He will be finished with his 2 week isolation this week and will resume workouts and practices with the team. After leaving the US last March, he spent a couple months training with the Finnish military, then several weeks with the Finland National basketball team.

The first day of fall classes is Wednesday (Aug. 26), and the fall basketball workouts begin Sept. 2.

You can call me a Dave Reynolds fan. I've done a 180 on this guy over the last year. Another good article and honestly, I'm just excited to see articles about the Braves! Now, how about some basketball?

Ditto Tommy! Dave definitely has written some good articles of late.
