Wake Forest/UNC

So who y'all think is going to take the Wake Forest/UNC Game at Wake Forest tonight? Wake Forest is 1 of only 3 undefeated teams left. Meanwhile, UNC is coming off a stunning loss to #17 BC who then went on to lose against Harvard and Miami,FL.

North Carolina is the best team in the nation and with all their talent should win it all. Now they are on the road tonight and like any other league winning on the road is really tough. It should be a good one but NC will win.

What's the line on this one? Vegas is pretty good!

I want Wake Forest to win, but I realistically think that UNC will win this one. I think that UNC is the best team in the nation right now (they flaked out against BC and it won't happen twice in a row). While Wake has a lot of talent and is a lot of fun to watch, they are young and are very turnover prone. UNC will convert on every mistake WFU makes and that will be the deciding factor. Plus, when I lived there in the 90's, The Joel didn't provide much of a homecourt advantage...especially against Duke, State and UNC. Wake Forest has about 6k students (who are still on break right now). It's hard to fill the 18k stadium with all Wake fans and they don't have the community following that Bradley has. I hear its better now, but when I was there...the UNC game at The Joel was typically about 50% WFU fans and 50% UNC fans.

I hope I am wrong, but I predict Carolina by 10: WFU 80; UNC 90.

Go Deacs (my second favorite team)!

I chose UNC to win on the ESPN Streak for Cash game but Wake Forest is playin real strong. Lots of blocks in the post and fairly poor perimeter shooting for both teams. Exciting game though so far.

Anyone not watching this in FSN is missing a heck of a game.

Currently 81-73 WF with 3:39 left...

UNC is one bad team when trailing. Was only down by 4 with 2 minutes left and just jacking up and missing badly long 3's. Same thing happened against BC, missed about 8 3's in last 2 minutes when only down by 5 points.

Yeah, they have absolutely no idea what to do when down. Go Wake!

And Wake hangs on for a 3 point win as the students storm the court. UNC shot it's season low 34%. Wake's Teague had a career high of 33 points. Best start for Wake in 28 seasons. Meanwhile, UNC just got clocked with 2 huge ACC losses. They'll probably have to run the table to win the ACC.

UNC needs to learn to play defense. Against athletic teams, they just can't play it, and it always ends up being a shootout.

Now Roy Williams will have some amo on his guys to concentrate on their D! Also it is always hard to win on the road. They will have to steal one from either Duke or Clemson if they want to win the regular season. They do think that they can just out score anyone. I still say they will win it all.

Wow! This was a top notch performance by Wake Forest....and now if Bradley can just get big guys that can outmatch everyone they play against. They were a lot like Wake Forest last year and now we need someone to play in the paint. I think it is coming to Bradley, but not so sure...

Bradley did recruit several of the kids that ended up being the stars for Wake Forest. Jeff Teague, Chas McFarland, and James Johnson (mostly the top scorers and rebounders for Wake last night) were all recruited strongly by Jim Les, but talent and size like that almost always ends up at the top level schools in the top 6 power conferences. It is not realistic for fans to expect schools like Bradley to land that quality of athletes.

I somewhat agree with the in game coaching. The last 2 minutes played last night and against BC were horrendous. Dribble down and launch a long 3 nearly every trip down and it was only a 4-5 point margin. Roy's a good coach though, he'll get them turned around. Not like they are going to the NIT or anything lol.
