Walt Lemon, Jr. Appreciation Thread

Tonight will be Walt Lemon, Jr.'s final game at home, in front of home fans

Walt currently has 1,659 points in his career - 10th best all time among players at Bradley!

He has at least three games remaining - so if he continues his average of around 20, he can move into 9th, then 8th place....
with 64 more points, he'll tie Voise Winters for 7th place...
With some favorable factors - he could play 4 or 5 games, and accumulate 104 more points and pull into a tie for 6th with Joe Allen (1763)

Unless we make a deep run beyond the MVC Tournament - I can't see him catching Paul Unruh at 1,822 pts

Congrats to Walt - Bradley fans appreciate you and will continue to follow you........sadly the local press doesn't have as much appreciation focusing on the negatives like how many times Babe Ruth struck out...

Congrats Walt on a great career. Wish we had better people around you so you could have played your natural position because it wasn't the PG spot.

It will be a long time, if ever, that we see a Bradley player achieve 1600+ career points, as well as some of the other things Walt has achieved. He will be missed.

Walt has given us everything we asked from him and more. Geno praises him as the hardest worker he's ever coached.
I really want to see him have one of his best games ever tonight.

Thanks Mr. Lemon for some spectacular dunks, the Lemon Dash & Drop, for your will to win every game, and for taking on a role as PG that you may not have felt that comfortable with.

Thank You!

Thank You!

I know a lot of people have criticized Walt over the course of the past couple of years, heck I'm guilty myself. But Walt has had a spectacular career at Bradley and I'm scared to think where we'd be without him. You've given your all each and every night and for that THANK YOU WALT! Now go out there and do something special for the last time at Carver!
